Jet Black (ジェット・ブラック Jetto Burakku?) is an officer of the ISSP and later bounty hunter. He partnered with Fad until losing his arm in the mid-2060s. He then captained the Bebop and led a bounty-hunting crew including Spike Spiegel, Faye Valentine, and Edward.
He goes by the nickname of Black Dog, as once he has a target in his sights, he shall never let go. He's born from Jupiter's moon, Ganymede, his own spaceship is the Hammer Head, and Laughing Bull calls him Rolling Rock, much to his dismay.
Recessional of the Red Dragons[]
Jet was first seen piloting the wrecked Bebop ship taking both Trudy and Faye back to Earth, then head to his home, Ganymede. He did assure Trudy that he won't take her to the slums she escaped from, but rather to Kanto, Japan to meet up with her Pokémon Trainer friend, Mary. He made some delicious omelets for breakfast, and after their meal, Trudy described the horrible nightmare she had of Spike being resurrected. Jet dismissed the thought, thinking it was just ridiculous; Trudy knew cause as a strict officer, he'd only see them as figments of the mind that have no meaning. Though, Faye thought otherwise and decided to head back to Tharsis. Jet assured if he should see Spike again, he'd knock his teeth out for worrying them so much. Although the outcome wasn't what he expected.
Jet took the ladies to the private hospital his pal, Doc, ran and assured Trudy he's been thru worse than her injuries by Spike turning on them. Trudy then gave Jet permission to use her tablet and look up the bios of her friends who seemed vital to the upcoming war on Mars. The Pokémon Trainers and the two Reploids intrigued Jet so much that he considered them as recruits! So, he then decided to head to Earth, but not without saying goodbye to a foolish friend, Laughing Bull. It was then he revealed of Trudy's destiny to Rolling Rock that she must bring peace to the universe, before Swimming Bird should wreak havoc once his star merges with Striking Snake's and have the tainting effects be permanent.
Minutes later, the Bebop was under attack by the Swordfish! Though X and Zero saved them as they distracted him with the Shuttle. X offered to help Jet, Faye and Trudy escape, and he boarded the Hammer Head with the blue bomber. His precious vessel was destroyed though, admired by Zero's skills, Spike spared their lives for now as they exiled on Earth. They were then escorted to Pallet Town in Kanto from Saffron City, and Mary introduced herself, her Pokémon, and her cousins to the group! For safety reasons, Jet was then offered to be taken to Abel City, the HQ of the Maverick Hunters! Jet was so fascinated with all the advanced technology it offered!
He soon reunited with Radical Edward and her family, even Ein, and soon Victoria, the interstellar trucker. Once the 3 days were up, Jet was prepared to head to Mars! The special forces stopped by Anastasia's destroyed outlet as a base, though Jet decided to stay as he'd be a liability to the team. Although, he did chase after Spike to the cemetery where Julia used to be. And he was about to confront him, fed up with his folly of being brainwashed by the Red Dragons, till Trudy put a stop to it! She shown Spike the small music box which restored deeper memories of Julia, and Jet was alarmed she got shot by a sniper! Luckily, she survived as the bullet ricocheted from her star pendant Laughing Bull gave her. Spike then shot the sniper, only to be shot by a tranquilizer bullet that was supposed to resemble death. Jet told him the nightmare and war should be over by the time he should awaken.

Minutes later, Jet escorted him to the outlet, only to be ambushed by Kim Yokushimo!! He fought him vigilantly, only to be outmatched, till Appeldelhi shot Kim in the head with Jet's dropped Wathier PPG! He stayed and watched over Spike to the news broke that the Red Dragons surrendered!!
Six weeks later, Jet restored the HQ of the Red Dragons by bulldozing it to 1 floor, making it as the new Bebop base! He remained as a close teammate with Zero helping him with repairs and technology.
A Trip in Paradise[]
Jet was hardly seen in the oneshot, although it was pointed out by Zero that Jet went missing as he woke up from his capsule. He tried calling him, but to no avail as he followed Spike, Julia, and Trudy to a refueling station. Trudy then saw Jet and Faye near a podium at the rear of a supermarket where Julia traced the zealots named the Drifters, as were Takeshi and Lyn. Trudy was alarmed and he alerted Spike of Jet's betrayal! He was then found at "Empyrea" or what looked to be Pluto's moon, Charon, near the facility with Faye. They cornered Spike, Julia and Trudy as they forced them to surrender! Luckily Zero came to their aide with the delayed Shuttle and blew up the facility! By the time Andy captured the 2 new bounty heads, Jet and Faye were their normal selves again. They soon confessed they were acting as spies/bodyguards for the 2 criminals, making Trudy furious and to never trust them again!! Jet was stunned, though a day passed, and Laughing Bull said to her she must trust them eventually. Only time would tell the tale.
