Jody Summer is a combat-machine pilot affiliated with the Galactic Space Federation. Her ability is highly regarded, and she is recognized as a hero by both her peers and superiors. For these reasons, she was chosen as the spokesperson for the Federation.
Jody is one of the Galactic Federation's top combat pilots and was chosen as a spokesperson of the Federation.
She often races with John Tanaka, who has taken it upon himself to protect her.
She returned in F-Zero GX. And while she wasn’t able to win the last Grand Prix championship, she was praised for her bravery and subsequently chosen to be Miss Galactic Space Federation. She still doesn’t have a great deal of experience as an F-ZERO pilot, but she has an incredible ability to control speed; that skill alone makes her the target of a great many rivals. Jody notably has a rivalry with Octoman.
For this reason, during her second Grand Prix, she was involved in an accident thanks to Black Shadow. Fortunately, Captain Falcon showed up in time to escort her out of a building before it collapsed on her, reuniting her with John Tanaka.
Despite her injuries, she and John Tanaka were both at the Grand Prix in the story mode.
F-Zero GP Legend[]
Jody Summer appears as a supporting protagonist in the series as part of the Mobile Task Force. She was caught in an accident that had to have half of her body replaced with cybernetics. Later on in the series, Jody discovers that Captain Falcon is her brother, his real name being Andy Summer. She mourns for the "death" of her brother at the end of the series though feels great honor in being the sibling of a great hero. She appears in the ending/ Beginning of Climax at the start of a Grand Prix alongside Rick Wheeler taking her brother's place as the new Captain Falcon.
Ikran's F-Zero timeline[]
Jody was first seen injured and trapped inside the Lightning powerplant, Falcon decided to rescue her as requested by Tanaka, and Yugi transformed to Yami and assisted the elitist with his fast Egyptian God, Slifer the Sky Dragon. Jody was saved just moments before the powerplant exploded! She reunited with Tanaka but she didn't get involved with the confrontation against Black Shadow. She wasn't seen till the GX Grand Prix, to which she lost against Falcon, Tinsel, Blood, and Black.
She has played a bigger role a year later, as she and Dr. Stewart awakened Rick Wheeler from his 150-year cold sleep; her reason was hoping she and the Task Force would have a chance against her old nemesis, Zoda. She became a strict captain in the Elite Mobile Task Force, and soon enlisted Tinsel as a new member after Lucy, due to experience and knowing the enemy. Rick crashed into Zoda which caused a chain reaction hitting the White Cat, and she was taken to the Cyborg Graduate School, a secretive hospital dedicated to cyborgs; about three years ago she lost her brother, Andy, in a shootout against Zoda. She barely survived by Dr. Stewart since she was implanted with robotic parts.
At one point, she believed that Tinsel can go beyond her limits and meekness, as she lectured her on doing so since she happens to be an introvert, thus losing races. She also was one of the few pilots that believed Tinsel had been brainwashed rather than betraying the team as Jack believed, aside from Rick and Stewart, and thought Black Shadow was testing out a new tactic...
Not much has happened, excepting Tinsel's grudge over kept growing, as she was more condescending to Rick as he disobeyed orders either over Zoda, or just losing a race. She has ou him under hefty probation a lot. On one fateful day though, she and the Task Force went missing. It soon turned out that Black Shadow had brainwashed the team, and Jody was one of the last to be awakened. She became one of the emperor's brutal assassins, even helping Miss Killer spy on Rick and Tinsel who have the missing Light Reactor Mights. She wasn't involved in any races, although she made an example to Rick as he was captured to Dark Star a second time. She seemed loyal to him, and she was about to ask Tinsel to pull a bullet on an unfortunate Mrs. Arrow, to which she got into a brutal scrimmage. She was torn that the group was reunited with Tinsel, and she declared she quit because of its corruption; she even blurted out her brother's alive though she won't be forgiven. She refused to accept it, and she was beaten again, till Leon stopped Tinsel from killing her, as Burt never would've wanted it.
With Burt and Clank restoring her memories, she eventually returned to her senses, and reunited with the team, in which some racers were pleased, others didn't forgive her, especially since Tinsel was abducted by Black Shadow/Deathborn. She summoned the Galaxy Runner and followed the Falcon Flyer to Dark Star, assisted by Yami and Joey. Unfortunately, her ship couldn't penetrate the forcefield, till the secret lab was destroyed. Although she retrieved Miss Killer's corpse and she and Lucy made her over. By the time the fortress was obliterated, Jody accepted Rick carrying Falcon's legacy.
Since then, she has been more like the protective mother wolf of the group, a lot less overbearing than when she used to be. She was even more acceptable to Rick's decisions this time around, even when discreetly watching him as a bounty-hunter in case he needed assistance. She was also one of his and Tinsel's bridesmaids for their wedding, and she wishes to do the same with Dr. Stewart.
