Joey with Yami, Tinsel and Yugi as one of Falcon's supporters
Joey is one of the main characters in Yu-Gi-Oh!. He is best friends with Yugi Muto. Joey starts out as an inexperienced Duelist, but he later becomes one of the greatest Duelists in the world. He accompanies Yugi throughout his adventures and is a duelist with a Brooklyn accent in the English version. He also seems to have the hots for Mai Valentine.
Ikran's F-Zero timeline[]
Joey, along with Yugi, Tea, and Tristan were saved by Tinsel and her Silver Comet just as the island of the Battle City tournament was about to explode by Kaiba! Since then, he became curious of the sport, F-Zero! And Tinsel took him and Yugi on an adventure starting at Port Town! When they arrived, they came across a punk Duelist who challenged them; Dueling was rare outside of Earth in favor of the racing tournament. He and Joey won seamlessly, though he missed the Blue Falcon that Tinsel saw! Joey became irritated and questionable, and so they embarked on a personal journey following him!
From Red Canyon, to watching the Casino Palace Bet race bragging of the disguised man attempting grand theft auto, to overcoming the Bloody Chain with Multiplying Kuriboh, and finally encountering the intimidating Black Shadow!! Yugi and Joey figured he'd be from the Shadow Realm, both as Duelist and racer, though Tinsel and Joey chased after the hapless machine attached with a speed-sensitive bomb! Joey summoned his Red-Eyes unawares to the duo and was determined to dismantle it! He got all washed up and returned to Mute City before they should get struck by lightning! The GX Grand Prix was coming up, and Falcon reunited with Tinsel! He thanked Yugi and Joey for saving his hides in a unique way. They prepared their Monsters and watched over the race, then Falcon and Tinsel were successful, till Deathborn complicated things. Joey was preoccupied on helping Falcon, and he and Yami convinced Yugi otherwise. The Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon hardly made its mark on Deathborn, though. They then encountered the Creators. And Joey immediately drew out his Red-Eyes in retaliation...only to have himself sealed in its Card! By winning over the Ghosts, Falcon freed him and his friends, and they shall look forward to visiting him again, as long as they keep their word on keeping the fortress' location a secret.
Over a year later, Yugi got the call from Tinsel, saying that Dark Million has raised the bar and wreaked havoc. He and Joey were involved in the incident during the Fake Star race, riding his Baby Dragon to Mute City via Warp Gate and used Time Wizard and changed it to the Thousand Dragon! He teamed up with Kuriboh and Curse of Dragon, attacking a sniper blimp from outside! Then, he received a message Tinsel has quit dueling just after he encountered Dartz and how Yami was nearly controlled by the Seal of Orachalos. By the time the Dragons were awakened, and the Great Leviathan was frozen, then shattered, Domino City was unfrozen, and he soon reunited with Tinsel looking for the Task Force! He and Yugi met Rick and schemed their plans at the King League course. He and Yugi hung out at the Port Town Queen League circuit for a short while, before they assisted Jody against a swarm of Dark Soldiers. However...it was only a ploy as they were captured by her within the minefield!
Leon was able to find and rescue them, only to behold the sight of his old nemesis, Black Shadow!! He headed to Dark Star to save Tinsel and the universe, and hung out in the Galaxy Runner. He assisted Yami as they approached the evil, dark turf! Unfortunately, the forcefield held him and the gang back, just allowing Falcon, Rick, and the other pilots passage. He soon encountered Miss Killer's corpse, thinking it was Cleopatra. And while Jody and Lucy were starting her makeover, he snuck aboard the foreboding vessel with its shields down! He convinced Yugi they should help Falcon and Rick save the universe, so they approached the Core and he unleashed his Red-Eyes onto his old nemesis, Blood Falcon! Then, he merged Yugi's Summoned Skull into the Black Skull Dragon! With the Shiny Nova and Shadow Flare, they disabled the Core, and they escaped while it was being destroyed by Rick's Full Power Booster Fire, while destroying Deathborn and Falcon!!
Joey mourned for his loss, then he was off to restore Yami's lost memories. A few years later, he was invited to Tinsel and Rick's wedding on Oct. 9, 2577, and he requested his friends Yugi, Tea, Tristan, his girlfriend, Mai, and his sister, Serenity, and Mokuba to come. Sadly, Yami, err Atem, can't... The last duel was against Diva, and Yugi disassembled the Puzzle afterwards allowing the spirit to rest! He then attended the bachelor party and sympathized with Rick that Tinsel's not the only one who had a neglectful father; as his was an abusive drunk and gambler after he divorced from his mom and was separated from Serenity. He then attended the wedding at the Mute City Knight League course, then the reception , especially devouring everything at the buffet! Still he felt happy for the couple!
