The 6 Kamidogu collected by Shujinko during his quest in MK: Deception
The Kamidogu (from Japanese kamidōgu 神道具 literally "god tool" or "divine equipment"), are mystic relics crafted by the Elder Gods which are said to contain the essence of the realms. When used in sorcery, they are said to have incredible power that can make and unmake all of reality. The Power of each Kamidogu can only be fully used by one Individual, so if one were to make use of all the Kamidogu, this person has to fuse all six Kamidogu into One Kamidogu. Wielded by the wrong hands, the Kamidogu could endanger existence itself.
The Kamidogu embody the essence for each of their respective realms, and there is one pertaining to each realm: Earthrealm, Netherrealm, Chaosrealm, Outworld, Orderrealm, and Edenia.
There is one more Kamidogu that is connected to and surpasses all the other Kamidogu as it embodies the essence of not just one realm, but all of the universe. That final Kamidogu turned out to be the Sacred Amulet which is the Amulet of Shinnok.
Mortal Kombat: The Return of the Dragon King[]
The Kamidogu function as how they usually would in Deception. So far, Damashi led Shujinko to the Lin Kuei Temple (still in China) where the Earthrealm Kamidogu was hidden. Little did the duo knew that Kung Lao, in his astral form, had been spying on them.
The former monk followed Shujinko as he united the Kamidogu from the Netherrealm and Chaosrealm. Jade regretted as she recalled surrendering the Outworld amulet to him, while Sindel lamented giving him Edenia's before Kahn's so-called second invasion. There was a point when Kung Lao offered to steal the Earth amulet, thus weakening Onaga and having the relics divided, although it seemed to be a bad idea. Fortunately, after uniting the Champions who're the only ones capable on wielding them, Hanzo reminded him of Lao's strategy, in which he took Earth's, thus drawing Onaga to the Nexus. He then hallucinated as he saw and heard Shujinko completing his quest, although the Kamidogu never transported to the Elder Gods. Onaga encountered the wanderer who played him as a fool all this time, and they're useless unless Shinnok's Amulet is found within the hands of Quan Chi in Outworld. Although he noticed he attained the fake instead.
Sonya, Jax, and Johnny soon sensed it after their revenancy and the former two alerted their master. Fortunately, the latter was halted by Ashrah. Onaga then ambushed Kung Lao and he gave chase! Goro came to his aid and carried him into Outworld where he used the Outworld pendant he stole to revive Lao. Liu eventually strategized to destroy each one, putting Onaga vulnerable to attack. The Dragon King was vanquished, and none of the realms had ever been affected.
