He appears to have separation anxiety as he is shown to be inconsolable when he thought he lost his pet spider and when Peggy departed from the DG. During Series 5–6, T.J is shown to be reserved and has a more withdrawn character, his spending his time with the other kids. He is also shown to have calmed down and eventually opened up to his sensitive nature when he comforts Amy & became best friends with Ben. He is often outsmarted by his quick-witted sisters, although he has shown average signs of intelligence. Him and Trixy often dream big. He is a main part in Trixy's schemes. He is very protective over Trixy & cares for her even though they fight at times. His age is 10 when he was introduced to the show.

Main Cast

Rachel Gibson

Rachel made her first appearance on 2nd January 2009 in series 1 of Keeping Up with Kylie Jenner during the episode Welcome Kylie Jenner. She departed on August 2010 in series 2 during the episode Baby.

Rachel has worked in care homes for a long time and knows how these places tick. She's stricter than Jack and sticks to the rules as much as possible. Rachel can be scary but is kind and caring when it counts and the kids respect her for it. She and Kylie frequently come into conflict over things with both being as stubborn as each other but as the series progresses the get along much better.

Rachel gets on with the kids quite well and cares for she is sometimes is kind to mostly to Elektra dealing with her spiteful anger, attitude and aggressive behaviour.



Grantly Barton

Grantly Barton made his first appearance on 2nd January 2009 in series 1 of Keeping Up with Kylie Jenner during the episode Welcome Kylie Jenner. He departed on 19th April 2013 in series 4 during the episode Off the Map.

Grantly Barton (1985 - 2012) was the chief at Oaklands House, and was good friends with colleagues Jack Jenner & Harrison Smith and later Sid Rooney in series 4. He was best known for his grumpy attitude, his sarcastic wit, and the various insults he gave towards some of the residents.

Curmudgeonly and cynical, Grantly frequently voices objections to the home's management and acts as the staff's union representative. Although known to be lazy in the care home, over time his dedication to the home becomes apparent.




Amelia Howe

Amelia made her first appearance on 2nd January 2009 in series 1 of Keeping Up with Kylie Jenner during the episode Welcome Kylie Jenner. She departed on August 2012 in series 3 during the episode . and returned in series 5 as the main cast.

Amelia is an exceptionally outgoing girl who shares much of her life with Violet, becoming saddened when she leaves the Dumping Ground. Amelia is medium-height with long ginger blonde like hair and blue eyes and often wears a lot of make-up. She seems eager, kind and caring, but impatient, although she has a tendency to appear light-headed, to be judgmental, and to spill secrets. Her favorite colour is pink, and she has turbulent relationships with many of the other residents of the Dumping Ground, such as T.J, Elektra and Ben. She also has a terrible relationship with her mother, who abandoned her when she was little, so that she could have a holiday.


Harry Jones

Harry made his first appearance on 2nd January 2009 in series 1 of Keeping Up with Kylie Jenner during the episode Welcome Kylie Jenner. He departed on 2012 in series 3 as the main cast and made several guest appearances in later seasons.

Harry was one of the younger residents of Oakland's House as he is revealed to be six years old when he was introduced to the show "Keeping Up with Kylie Jenner". He is quite a quiet child, who keeps himself to himself. He used to always carry around his toy giraffe, Jeff , and thought he could talk. Whenever Harry felt something or wanted to do something, he used to say "Jeff wants to play.", "Jeff like this.", "Jeff's really excited.". Harry grew attached to older resident Vanessa Fox during First two seasons of Keeping Up with Kylie Jenner, and found it hard to adjust to life without her in the DG when she left to live on her own. Harry started to come out of his shell a little more in since the third season, and become close friends with Ben Barnes, Leo, Floss, and Lily and Lana Garcia.



Vanessa Fox

Vanessa Fox made her first appearance on 2nd January 2009 in series 1 of Keeping Up with Kylie Jenner during the episode Welcome Kylie Jenner. She departed on August 2012 in series 2 during the episode Baby.



Gus Gardner

Gus made his first appearance on 2nd January 2009 in series 1 of Keeping Up with Kylie Jenner during the episode Welcome Kylie Jenner. Gus was a resident of Oaklands House during "Keeping Up with Kylie Jenner". Gus has Asperger's Syndrome, a form of autism, which makes him eager to keep tidy, and so he is a stickler for detail and he always carries notebooks and writes in them every day. Gus is tall for his age with black curly hair. He is always seen wearing a blue shirt and beige trousers, and enjoys playing the piano, but is socially awkward due to the Asperger's; he despises too much noise, and hates disorder, feeling that everything must be timetabled. During "Keeping Up with Kylie's Jenner"'s third series, he was fostered by a lesbian couple.


Eli

Eli made his first appearance on 2nd January 2009 in series 1 of Keeping Up with Kylie Jenner during the episode Welcome Kylie Jenner. He departed on August 2010 in series 2 during the episode Baby.




Frank Matthews

Frank Parker made his first appearance on 2nd January 2009 in series 1 of Keeping Up with Kylie Jenner during the episode ?. He departed on 9th September 2015 in series 6 during the episode Prom.

Frank is 16 years old as of 2012 – he is tall and has blonde hair and brown eyes. He is a kind, caring and often gullible person who supports Manchester United, and enjoys pranking people along with his brother Luke Matthews. During the third series of "Keeping Up with Kylie Jenner", he becomes a waiter, begins a relationship with another waitress, Jade. At the end of fourth series he and Luke, eventually leave Brookside so they can live together.


Luke Matthews

Loki Parker made his first appearance on 2nd January 2009 in series 1 of Keeping Up with Kylie Jenner during the episode Kylie's Back?. He was a resident of Oaklands House throughout "Keeping Up with Kylie Jenner". Luke is of medium-height and has brown hair and eyes. His brother is Frank. Luke is sarcastic, cunning and sly, but he is kind and loyal to those he considers friends; he enjoys pranking and scamming people.


Violet Kettle

Violet made her first appearance on 2nd January 2009 in series 1 of Keeping Up with Kylie Jenner during the episode Welcome Kylie Jenner. She appears as a resident on-and-off throughout the show, and throughout the Third series of "Keeping Up with Kylie Jenner", before eventually departing for good.

She proves herself quite quickly to be a competent and proective mother figure to her younger sisters, Poppy and Rosie Kettle following their mother's death and father's inability to care for them, eventually challenging their foster parents as she finds it difficult to not be in control.

Violet has a strong friendship with Amelia during the first series onwards. Violet and Amelia fall out when Violet accuses Amelia of wanting to take over the motherly role of Violet's younger sisters, Poppy and Rosie. However, the two friends reconcile. Violet and her sisters are fostered in Family Values - Amelia is deeply saddened. Violet returns to the 'Dumping Ground' in Sisters. Despite the protests of her foster parents Matt and Christie, Violet still wanted to have primary control over the care of her sisters. This is because she has been the 'mother figure' to her sisters for a very long time. Kylie's attempts to resolve the matter end in failure


Floss Rose

Flora made her first appearance on 2nd January 2009 in series 1 of Keeping Up with Kylie Jenner during the episode Welcome Kylie Jenner.


Rosie Kettle

Rosie made her first appearance on 2nd January 2009 in series 1 of Keeping Up with Kylie Jenner during the episode Welcome Kylie Jenner.

Toby Johnson

Toby made his first appearance on 2nd January 2009 in series 1 of Keeping Up with Kylie Jenner during the episode Welcome Kylie Jenner. He was put into care after his parents died in a car crash. Toby blamed himself for his parent's death, as he said he shouted at them and called them names before they walked out to go for a drive to cool down a bit. Toby was fostered at one point but his foster mother was killed when struck by lightning. Because of these events, Toby has always been convinced he's cursed. Throughout his stay at the Dumping Ground, he proves to be a loyal friend and is usually a source of calm at the residence. He is best friends with Eli and gets along with the older residents like Luke, Frank and Elektra. Toby also seemed to have a crush on Elektra. But that was never developed been as he didn't come back for the third series as he was forested. Toby is very into his comics and sci-fi things. As he has numerous comic collections and has many sci-fi related stuff in his bedroom.


Harrison Smith

Harrison Smith made his first appearance on 2nd January 2010 in series 2 of Keeping Up with Kylie Jenner during the episode Money. Harrison is tall and has brown eyes. He is kind and humorous, and likes the kids a lot: they eventually begin a turbulent relationship.

When a bag of money is found mysteriously in the garden, Toby immediately points the finger at Harrison who is a new trainee care worker. Seth then begins to act strangely towards Toby. Liam and Frank decide to spend their share of the money on a new television but end up running from security. Two police officers arrive at the Dumping Ground to search for the money but after searching the garden, the police officers find no trace of the money. Toby tells Johnny that he thinks that Seth is looking for the money and he wants it back, so Toby decides to follow Seth around and spy on him to get some evidence that he has stolen the money, when Seth leaves the room, Toby steals Seth's phone and Gus tells Tracy to meet Toby in the toy cupboard without telling Seth. Toby tells Tracy that Seth has text messages on his phone regarding to the money and Toby then shows Tracy the money but Tracy then witnesses Seth telling Toby to give his "stolen property" back and she pushes him onto the floor and they lock him in the basement. Carmen and Lily tease Tracy about crushing on Seth.


Elektra Parkins

Elektra Parkins made her first appearance on 5th February 2010 in series 2 of Keeping Up with Kylie Jenner. Elektra was a introduced as a difficult, rebellious teenager and a resident of Oaklands House during the second & third series of 'Keeping Up with Kylie Jenner'. Elektra presents herself as a tough young lady who is happy to bully and intimidate people. She is quite mean, sarcastic, and cunning, and whilst she does have caring moments, and begins friendships with Kylie, Amelia & Frank, she mainly displays her tough, uncaring and mean side. She appears in the third series as a guest and shows more of her softer side.

Elektra arrives in Elektra, during the second series, instantly beginning her stay by fighting Luke, later explaining this as a reflex reaction following several tough experiences in other care homes. She begins to form a gang with the other residents, forcing them to commit thefts for her personal gain to test their loyalty to her.

During "Snake Bite", Elektra is reunited with her old gang, the Cobras, although after they try to rob Toby she realizes that what they’re doing is wrong, and she moves on, leaving the gang behind.

In the third series during the episode "Going Home" reveals more about Elektra's character and family background. Elektra's sister, Melissa Perkins, arrives at Oaklands House in order to ask Elektra to be her bridesmaid. The residents find it amusing that Elektra's real name is Mandy. Melissa breaks the news that she will marry Harvey. The two sisters shop for dresses and Elektra observes through Melissa's behavior that her mother has a strong influence upon every aspect of the wedding. Elektra is emphatic that she not be forced to change her hair, no matter what her controlling mother dictates. Elektra's mother put Elektra in care despite the fact that Elektra did not want to go into care. Melissa convinces Elektra that both of her parents love her and that they would welcome her if she came to lunch. Kylie accompanies Elektra to lunch with her parents. Although they kicked Elektra out of the house, they have made an effort to see her since. Elektra appears to be pleased that her mother took the time to buy a vegetarian lasagna for her. Her mother seems to think that Elektra has severe behavioral problems and wants to focus upon the wedding whereas Elektra's father at first seems to be more concerned about his daughter's welfare and putting the past behind them. History seems to repeat itself when Elektra's mother assumes control by saying that bridesmaids cannot have blue hair. Elektra becomes infuriated when her mother tells her that she must keep the fact that she resides at a care home a secret from Harvey. Mrs Perkins told Harvey that her daughter was away at a boarding school. Elektra rings the wedding planner in order to cancel the wedding by pretending to be her mother. Melissa comes to the DG and gives Elektra a gift, a new pair of white boots for the wedding. Melissa is furious when she discovers that Elektra cancelled the wedding. She states that Elektra does not deserve a family. She also showcases her feelings of resentment when she states that she always had to be the good daughter and that she was not able to attend her own prom because her parents were too busy dealing with Elektra's problems with the police.


Ben Barnes

Ben Barnes made his first appearance on 22nd April 2011 in series 3 of Keeping Up with Kylie Jenner during the episode Goodbye. He departed on 9th September 2015 in series 6 during the episode Prom.

Ben displays extreme emotional issues such as anger-management breakdown due to his background and life before he lived in care. Ben's father also had anger issues and after his wife (Ben & Hope's mother) left, he took his anger out of them (mostly Ben). One day his father went out and left Ben in charge of a two-year-old Hope. Hope fell out of the window and broke her spine, paralyzing her for life from the waist-down. His father saw Hope lying on the street and assumed Ben had pushed her out of the window purposefully; a burden which Ben would carry until living in Oakland's House and discovering the truth.and blamed him for Hope's accident which resulted.

He is shown to be a skilled liar, lying to remove people from the room, to get himself out of trouble and to give himself a good name. This lying makes him come across as an innocent and helpful boy, while his true colours of being manipulative and cunning.



Hope Barnes

Hope Barnes made her first appearance on 22nd April 2011 in series 3 of Keeping Up with Kylie Jenner during the episode Goodbye.

Hope is small and diminutive, yet understanding, kind and caring, although her brother's controlling and overprotective influence over her in the third series of "Keeping Up with Kylie Jenner" made her a quieter person. She has dark blonde, almost brown, hair and brown eyes. She also shows a caring personality towards younger children, like Leo Amy Lily, Lana, Flora & Harry.

Amy Rose

Amy Rose made her first appearance on 22nd April 2011 in series 3 of Keeping Up with Kylie Jenner during the episode Goodbye.

Amy is a quiet girl and is described as a kind and caring person, although gets upset very quickly, especially when Holly left without telling her.


Leo Long

Leo Long made his first appearance on 22nd April 2011 in series 3 of Keeping Up with Kylie Jenner during the episode Goodbye.

Leo is a kind, eccentric kid in the 'Dumping Ground'. He first appeared in Goodbye!" His age is 7, as of series 3 of Keeping Up with Kylie Jenner.



Lily Garcia

Lily Garcia made her first appearance on 22nd April 2011 in series 3 of Keeping Up with Kylie Jenner during the episode Goodbye. She is the twin sister of Lana Garcia

Lily and Lana lived with their mother, father and pet rabbit Mr. Nibbles. They loved their mother very much. She passed away, leaving them with their father, who turned to alcohol and became very abusive towards Lily and Lana.


Lana Garcia

Lana Garcia made her first appearance on 22nd April 2011 in series 3 of Keeping Up with Kylie Jenner during the episode Goodbye. She is the twin sister of Lily Garcia

Holly Yang

Holly is a quiet, friendly 7 year old who prefers her own company or likes to talk to her few select friends. She is quite timid and becomes afraid quickly. This is a factor in why she is so quiet. When ignored, Holly becomes irritated and goes to extreme lengths to be noticed.

She's is always seen holding her teddy bear.



Sarah Allen

Sarah Allen made her first appearance on 22nd April 2011 in series 3 of Keeping Up with Kylie Jenner during the episode Goodbye. She departed on 3rd February 2012 in series 3 during the episode and returned on 2015 in series 6 during the episode ?

Sarah, like Rachel beforehand, can be shown to be very caring but firm and strict when necessary. Unlike most care-workers she can have a friendly attitude towards the social workers and can stick up for them, like when Hattie got shot with cream by the kids, however sometimes she can still bore her.

in the first episode of the third series, arriving after replacing Jack and Rachel Jenner, Sarah got a strong hatred from the kids. Luke and Frank disliked for making them split up, and Kylie hated the idea that Sarah wouldn't let her go out on her own to get her nose pierced.

Sarah's childhood is revealed when she talks to Anne. Her father also had Alzheimer's Which showed how much she related to and sympathies about Anne's situation with her grandpa.


Anne Honary

Anne Honary made her first appearance on 6th May 2011 in series 3 of Keeping Up with Kylie Jenner during the episode Running. She departed on 9th September 2015 in series 6 during the episode Prom.

Anne used to live with her grandad, Richard before going into care. But he was no longer fit to look after Anne because he developed Alzheimer's, so he was starting to lose his memory and became weaker. Anne at first was adamant there was nothing wrong with her grandfather, but she later learned that he needed looking after, and that he was only going to get worse as time progressed.

Anne is the best friend of Kylie and the romantic interest of Ben and is a trainee athlete. Anne is a kind, thoughtful and active girl she loves sports although at times she can be angry, spiteful and moody usually when she is not allowed to see her grandpa.


Mischief

Mischief made his first appearance on 13th May 2011 in series 3 of Keeping Up with Kylie Jenner during the episode Mischief.





Sid Rooney

Sid Rooney made his first appearance on 5th October 2012 in series 4 of Keeping Up with Kylie Jenner during the episode New Beginnings. He departed on 19th April 2013 in series 4 during the episode Off The Map.

Sid was introduced as the head care-worker of Brookside Children's Home in series 4, he took an immediate reluctant attitude towards Hattie and became friends with Grantly. Sid deep down cares for the residents, especially the little ones like Leo, Holly, Lily or Lana.


Peggy Carter

Peggy Carter made her first appearance on 5th October 2012 in series 4 of Keeping Up with Kylie Jenner during the episode New Beginnings. She departed on 9th January 2014 in series 5 during the episode Goodbye Peggy.

Peggy is a young girl who has a sarcastic personality; the eldest of the Carter children, she has a protective and motherly nature towards her younger siblings since they were put into care.

Series 4

In the first episode of series four, social worker, Hattie Stewart brings over Peggy and her little brother & sister, T.J and Trixy Carter, to Brookside on the day as the kids move from Oaklands House. Frank and Luke Matthews, who used to be in care with them, are initially determined to stand up to them, but back down as care worker Grantly Barton recalls their behavior on a visit to a care home they were at; New head care worker, Sid Rooney decides to give Peggy, T.J and Trixy a chance, but Peggy starts an egg fight with Leo and demand sweets from the others and when they go to argue with Ben, Kylie Jenner and the other young people stand up to them.

In episode 3, the Carters encourage Anne to break into the office and steal the kids files to destroy, but when Anne is caught by Sid, she and Ben post fake files about the Carters.

In episode 8, the Carters pull nasty pranks on the kids so Kylie, Anne and Ben decided to kill them with kindness instead of fighting with them, so Anne does not get angry with Peggy when she takes her jacket, but Peggy becomes emotional when Anne lends her a pair of her trainers.

In episode 9, the Carters plot to steal Frank’s lottery money by intercepting letters from him to trainee care worker Jane & write back, pretending to be her, asking him for gifts but backfires when Luke and Amy worked out what they were up to.

In episode 11, when the DG has an Ofsted inspection, the Carters devise a plan to get it closed down by pretending Sid and Grantly are mistreating them but backfires when Kylie informs them it's a hoax.

In episode 12, Luke sets up a mock talk show when Peggy steals Ben's mum's engagement ring.

In episode 25, the Carter trio fall out when Peggy receives a birthday present form her father and Trixy hides it believing its going slip up the family.

Series 5

Trixy Carter

Trixy Carter made her first appearance on 5th October 2012 in series 4 of Keeping Up with Kylie Jenner during the episode New Beginnings. She departed on 9th September 2015 in series 6 during the episode Prom.

Trixy is the youngest and most intelligent of her siblings. Due to this, she often takes control. She is a stereo typical goth & is always wearing black and white. She is mostly seen wearing a black dress with a white shirt underneath, black and white striped tights, a high ponytail festered, a black, white or pink feathery flower band and sometimes earrings. She's cute & adorable but not as innocent as she looks, her “bad girl” look makes her look intimidating. Like T.J, she suffers from separation anxiety, on two occasions Trixy broke down crying at the thought of Peggy leaving and confesses to T.J her insecurities about losing him as well.Although she has shown some evidence of a caring personality, she is much more frequently found bullying other kids or causing trouble. Her age was around 7 or 8 when she was introduced to the show.


Naz Tako

Naz Tako made his first appearance on 1st March 2013 in series 4 of Keeping Up with Kylie Jenner during the episode Independence Day. He departed on 9th September 2015 in series 6 during the episode Prom.

Naz was brought up in Congo, Africa. He was forced to flee his home with his mother after his father and brother were attacked by a group of rebels. Separated from his father and brother, Naz and his mother eventually made their way to a refugee camp, only for Naz's mother to perish after drinking contaminated water at the camp.
