Khameleon is a character in the Mortal Kombat fighting game series. She made her debut in the Nintendo 64 version of Mortal Kombat Trilogy as a hidden character and returned as a playable character in MK: Armageddon for the Nintendo Wii version.
Khameleon made her debut as a secret character in the Nintendo 64 version of Mortal Kombat Trilogy, while the PC, PlayStation, and Sega Saturn versions instead had Chameleon, a similar male character. After being absent for a long time, she made her return in the Nintendo Wii version of Mortal Kombat: Armageddon with a new design.
In Liu Kang's New Era, Khameleon is now a member of the Umgadi, commanded by Tanya.
During the Sun Do festival, Khameleon was present while protecting the princesses Kitana and Mileena. She helped Tanya confront the Zaterran Syzoth, but they failed and the group accompanying Syzoth escaped to the Earthrealm.
Later, Khameleon helped Tanya to confront Li Mei, who was convinced by Liu Kang about General Shao's plan to overthrow Sindel's empire, however, both of them did not listen and tried to expel them from the palace but were defeated.
Mortal Kombat: Shinnok's Uprising[]
Chameleon and Khameleon were unveiled to be the secretive preservers of the Saurian race. They remained behind the scenes during Shinnok's invasion and finding out of Syzoth's ulterior motives, the jig was up once his master was defeated and trapped in the Netherrealm! Chameleon didn't hesitate to maul the fake general, Reptile, and he broke the news to Kitana and the monarchs that he and his partner shall reform their race under their benevolent rule.
Return of the Dragon King[]
Khameleon, along with Chameleon, led the Edenian Resistance against Onaga and his dreadful army as both Saurian generals spied on their enemies; from their invasion to Sun Do, to their march across the Outworld plains and Living Forest, they signaled the Saurians to set up some traps. They soon unleashed the foot soldiers, although Khameleon had her hands full as she defended Chameleon from the undead Sonya. She was proven to be a formidable fighter, although it was thanks to Ashrah and her Kriss that finished the job.
Both Chameleons escorted their ally, Reptile, and the Saurian infantry to Zaterra as soon as they were fully recovered.
Final Kombat[]
Chameleon and Khameleon were watching from a far balcony at the Edenian Palace as Liu, Kitana, Baraka and others were discussing their strategies with the monarchs in prep for Armageddon. The female counterpart met up with Taven and Mileena inside Kahn's Fortress. After her defeat, Khameleon offered to take her away to recuperate and hopefully reunite with her sister at long last, after Taven left her be remembering Orin's advice on wounding his enemies rather than killing them.
Khameleon was later seen at the Edenian throne room escorting Mileena; she claimed it wasn't easy blending in and escaping from their adversaries. She, Sindel, Baraka and Jerrod were the only ones supporting her. She rode the Netherwing with Chameleon and was involved in the battle...until they strategized to blend in and disguise themselves as the Pyramid's statues. Fire God Liu Kang then urged them to take him up so he could finish Blaze. They and Liu found the corrupt stragglers, Komodai and Reptile, mauling the two till they were dead! They survived the firestorm and still became protectors of Edenia to this day!
