Kimberly (Japanese: キンバリー Kinbarī) is the female central protagonist of CheerfulSteekip's Pokémon Violet anime.

Appearance[]
Kimberly has short, shoulder-length black hair that has a purple headband with a golden star on it. She has tan skin, lightning-shaped markings on her cheeks, and brown eyes, and stands at 5'2. She wears the standard uniform for the Uva Academy, as well as pink glasses and a light pink shoulder bag that has a green fleur-de-lis imprinted on the front.
Personality[]
After she first wakes up in Paldea during the series premiere, Kimberly is shown to be very shy and nervous, having a hard time befriending Nemona and commanding a Sprigatito she later names Flora to use a move during a battle. She is also shown to be very depressed despite suffering from amnesia, and always needs Flora's company, as well as Mirako's later on.
She isn't sure what her dream is, and has difficulties in making friends at first. However, after being introduced to Nemona, Sparky, Nino, Flora, Mirako, Arven, Penny, Percy and Elton (one by one), she decided to "take baby steps" and start by challenging all of the Gyms in Paldea and challenging the Pokémon League.
Following an incident at Inlet Grotto, she becomes afraid of the Houndour line, even choosing not to catch one. She is shown to always freeze up whenever a Houndour or Houndoom goes near her, which has caused some problems a few times.
During her journey through Paldea, Kimberly started to mature significantly and is shown to take part in events that involve Team Star more seriously. She also learned how to cook from Arven and learned many things from the teachers such as Pokémon's abilities, typings, and how to train and care for them. She will get angry if someone hurts someone close to her, which usually results in her activating her Tera-Petal Power without first Teralizating Flora. She also got more wiser and smarter to the point she can analyze a battle to finish it rather quickly. In some situations, she is shown to be quite reckless, but she also makes sure to not cause severe damage to her surroundings or to others near her. She is also known to meditate with her Pokémon in order to give them more patience and calm them down in dire situations. She also trained her body and trained in the art of stealth in order to defeat enemies. With her trained body, she can maintain her balance so she can perform moves like somersaults and flips with ease without losing her balance or making a sound.

- Her bag in the anime is very similar to Sunny Starscout's bag. However, it is instead light pink with a green fleur-de-lis imprinted on the front.
- Other than the fact she has no set dream due to insecurities, she essentially serves as the Ash of the fandub/anime series. This may be, appearance-wise, because of the markings on her cheeks.
