Korin (カリン 'Karin') is a wise cat who is over 800 years old that lives atop a giant tower. He is a martial arts master.

Korin was first seen on the Lookout as he witnessed the 7 Dragon Balls reunited and Shenron summoned; Ayame made all 3 wishes, and he was impressed on her wishes. He's been a close friend to her.
In the Yakuza Saga, he escorted the refugees Krillin, 18, Wong and Dominique escaping from the neo-Yakuza to the Lookout, and thru his sacred land. He welcomed the 2 newcomers onto the Heavenly Realm and assured to make themselves at home. He was monitoring the world with Dende, till Dauragon was obliterated for good, and he comforted Ayame after she lost her family during an attack! He also said to her she shouldn't throw away her friendship she had with the Bouncers, as it was too soon since she reunited with Sion and Dominique a day before the incident; he also remembered the fallout she had with Krillin and Piccolo as Korin was safe from the Black Water Mist brainwashing them. He also gifted Ayame a new Nimbus since the last one was destroyed by Yakuza kamikazes!
