Krillin had a brief rivalry with Goku when they first met and trained under Master Roshi, but they quickly became lifelong best friends. One of the most powerful and talented martial artists on Earth, Krillin is courageous, faithful, and good-natured. He is a prominent Z Fighter, despite usually being overpowered by the major enemies. His short stature and baldness (with the exception of when he grows out his hair in the Majin Buu Saga onwards, although he occasionally shaves his head in several sagas in Dragon Ball Super) aid him in his ability to provide comic relief during tense moments. During the latter half of Dragon Ball Z, he largely retires from fighting, opting to settle down with his family instead, becoming the husband of Android 18 and the father of Marron. However, he returns to his lifestyle as a warrior later on in Dragon Ball Super.

Krillin was first seen at the Lookout as the Z Fighters gathered while Shenron was being summoned. He advised Ayame that she can't revive a human from an android, as he tried and failed with Android 18.
During Sion's 20th birthday, he was invited with 18 there, as Gohan and Videl were babysitting Pan and Marron. He realized that Sion has a similar relationship to him with 18, saying how lucky he really is! He also witnessed on Sion's drunkenness.
In the Yakuza Saga, Krillin and 18 assisted Ayame as the neo-Yakuza were forming rapidly. He and 18 were to escort Dominique and Wong to the Lookout so they'd be out of the gang's eyes. He drastically looked for some supplies, even from DinoCaps and helped 18 make disguises for the refugees. He defended them when they were under attack by the Yakuza, even at the train station! He hurriedly carried an injured Wong to Korin's Tower where he recovered. He then monitored the Earth below, and he was ecstatic that his old friend, Chiaotzu, came in to the rescue removing the microchips controlling the 3 Bouncers Sion, Volt and Kou. He at times grew paranoid, like usual, when Gohan and Gotenks faced off with Dauragon, even when Shenron was summoned to resurrect him! He then grew worried as Ayame and Korin remembered him and Piccolo acting being brainwashed by the Black Water Mist, in the case on how she treated the 3 Bouncers, though Korin advised against that thought.
Krillin was seen with 18 as the new generation of Bouncers were created!
