Emperor Kylor had employed the spy Nenora to pose as a Kree soldier and use her to get information from the Kree. He would then ambush the Kree, and solidify his claim for the title of the new Skrull emperor. However, Nenora wanted to rule herself, and she betrayed Kylor's fleet, which was destroyed in a battle with the Kree.

Kylor was seen in Planet Skullros, inside a very tall fortress packed with all kinds of advanced weaponry and technology. The Fantastic 5 and Norrin approached the planet's atmosphere with the Zenn-lavian mothership and were instantly met by his defensive military! Contrary to Jartran's premonition, Shalla-Bal wasn't found there, though Kylor's fortress was rigged with traps! After chasing the team with intense fire walls, he captured Sue and held her hostage, while Johnny and the Surfer held them at bay! Reed, Terri and Ben were hapless, till Norrin, thanks to the Power Cosmic, came to their aid and defeated him seamlessly. Ben disabled the mechanisms, but the mothership fired causing the fortress to collapse! The team barely made it out alive.
