Space Angler (CCA)
Leon is an anthropomorphic wolf-like F-Zero pilot, who made his debut in the 1998 N64 game, F-Zero X.
Twelve years prior to F-Zero GX, his parents were killed in a big war on the planet Zou. His species had natural advantages over humans, such as sharper reflexes and natural instincts.
After an enemy soldier named Fable Animal betrayed his own army and led Zou to victory, Fable designed Leon's machine, the Space Angler. It was then decided that Leon would be sent to the F-Zero Grand Prix to be a symbol of hope for his ailing, war-torn planet.
Although he wasn't considered especially bright, he proved to be a natural at the F-Zero races, despite his young age. It's his hope to become champion so he can use the money to save the children of Zou from poverty.
Ikran's F-Zero timeline[]
Leon was indeed one of Ikran's favorite pilots in the series, next to Rick Wheeler.
He first made his major appearance in Ending it All. During Lap 4 as he was enlisted in the Big Blue elite course, the Dolphin Dive. He was there to earn hefty prize money for the troubled kids and orphans, but he had bigger problems to deal with such as Baba, antagonizing him till Tinsel bashed into Zoda, leading to the monkey's demise, along with Dark Million. He couldn't forget Tinsel's generosity since the GX Grand Prix last year. And since Lucy has been missing, who was his love interest since he was afraid to admit it as a busboy in the Falcon House, and since the universe is in peril, he decides to tag along.
Leon teams up with Draq, Beastman and Gomar & Shioh, and he volunteered to look for Rick following an SOS in White Land; they were ambushed by Miss Killer and Rick who's brainwashed which has proven the rumors to be true. After Tinsel knocking some sense into him, Leon got injured but recovered as they listened of his tragic loss of Haruka. Leon then decided to work with the reuniting Task Force and made it up to the race where Clash passed on. Later still, he unveiled there's been a pilot who's gone into hiding who may've secrets to defeat the enemy, James McCloud, who turned out to be a scoundrel.
Leon experiences the Skull getting shattered by Yami
After the Championship, Leon experienced Tinsel losing it over Jody's sudden betrayal, and he stopped and reminded she must be alive for Andy's sake. It was the same way how his people lost their ways in the war. Leon then finds the imprisoned Duelists, Yugi and Joey, and joins on the pilgrimage to save Tinsel and the universe. He then succumbs to a nightmare made by the Skull and winds up in a lethal Silence race against a deadly doppelganger and explosive machines with no pilots. He wins and wakes up only for Yami to shatter the sorcerer's bones. He and his allies come to Rick's aide, only to head back to the Falcon Flyer witnessing Deathborn's demise. From then on, he becomes a full-fledged member of the Task Force earning prize money to restore his world.
He does have a romantic interest with Lucy, and they bond in the squad. He was even invited in Rick and Tinsel's wedding, even sensing tension as Tinsel received her repressed memories.
