The Lost Tomb

The Lost Tomb was an arena and an ancient location in the Realm of Outworld. This ancient pyramid is also built as a huge mausoleum, which rests the dead body of Outworld's former legendary ruler, known as Onaga the Dragon King, and it also housed the mummified remains of the king's undefeatable army.

This aged-old, pyramidal tomb contained the remains of the Dragon King's army which is consisted of loyal warriors who watched from the wings while locked in their stony prison after they ritualistically committed mass suicide since his death. In the distance behind the Dragon King's sarcophagus was a huge, bronze circular ring-like object with a striking resemblance of the Amulet of Shinnok. And what was written on the walls of this tomb as well on the king's sarcophagus is an ancient Edenian language inscribed by Onaga's holy men that was intended to bring back Outworld's long lost ruler from beyond the grave by returning his spirit to his original body. This huge mausoleum is located in the pyramid that is just outside the Sarna Ruins.

The Lost Tomb also appears in Mortal Kombat: Tournament Edition as the final stage where you fight Shang Tsung and Quan Chi.

Theme song: Lost Tomb (Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance)

Mortal Kombat: Vengeance[]

The Lost Tomb was visited by Kung Lao and his group of heroes. They came across a large elaborate design of Shinnok's Amulet, to which Hanzo believed would unlock ominous power to Onaga and his undead army; he doubted that Quan Chi would use the real amulet, though the fake can do so much... They also were agog of the numerous clusters of ancient sarcophaguses, and Kung Lao led the charge with Kuai, Hanzo and Jax. Thanks to his cryokinesis, it made most of them easier to shatter, while Lao only relied on his fists of ruin, a technique he hadn't used since he learnt it at the Outworld Tower. Jade and Kitana found the ancient Edenian engraving's upon Onaga's sarcophagus in which he and his undead army shall rise again after they perished by Kahn's imperialism. The more nimbler Kombatants stood guard but were irritated by endless flies landing on them! Aiko spotted the same pair of turquoise eyes she believed were tracking the group, along with a glimmer of metal; she shrieked for Lao, and he tossed his hat by impulse! The result made a beast let out a grizzly growl, tearing off an eyepatch to a third socket as they illuminated gold! Soon after a swarm of flies blinded the group, and their eyes adjusted to make out a skinnier demon. Moloch and Drahmin were on the prowl!

Hanzo warned of the warring pair, and Aiko queried whom should help, in which Jax barged in! Due to his experience, the ninja emerged victorious with the SF agent as a decent tank against Moloch! Lao broke through as he forced Drahmin onto a nearby pole, demanding the location and his assistance against the Deadly Alliance! Drahmin refused, forcing Lao to strangle him, until Liu's voice assured to let him go. Moments later, Drahmin gave the heroes the slip along with his brawny partner! He discouraged they'll never stand a chance against the Oni fugitive, Quan Chi.

Sonya asked Nightwolf to trace the next destination to which Jade dreaded it was the Sarna Ruins, her desert's dangerous next-door neighbor.

Return of the Dragon King[]

Aiko, Kenshi and Jerrod got word from the Edenian royal guard that half of its cavalry, Sindel and Jade headed there to rid of Onaga's remains. Aiko informed the guards before she met Kenshi, she remembered her friends cleaning out the place by destroying the undead army's sarcophaguses excepting for one... She also recalled encountering the Onis, Moloch and Drahmin, there. When Jerrod received the yaz stitching symbolizing him as a free man, the trio teleported straight to it!

Sure enough, they arrived within seconds and Kenshi noticed there were some scuffles inside. Jade and Sindel spotted the open sarcophagus of Onaga, along with his skeletal remains, despite stepping into lumps of dust and dead flies. The gigantic display of Shinnok's Amulet shone onto the rotting corpse and before they went to work, the knights were attacked! Moments later, the Edenians encountered two other Edenian assailants, Tanya and Kitana!! Jade easily held her own against the rebel, but Sindel was powerless since Nightwolf exorcised a banshee from her; she still used her Kwan Do to block her possessed daughter's blows, but it wasn't enough. Liu tried to reason with Kitana, but to no avail... The trio arrived as Ermac used his soul kinesis which lifted Kitana and tossed her toward the carcass. Stunned, Kenshi inputted Aiko's whistles of the same melody she retrieved which happened to be Kitana's lullaby as a baby! Ermac revealed his true self as King Jerrod, breaking off the spell. Kitana, then Sindel, made a tearful reunion and everyone was thrilled! Liu Kang incinerated the remains and casket while the group made further plans as Kitana tried to recall Onaga's agenda on merging all the realms and Kamidogu, even looking for the last one...Shinnok's Amulet!

Kenshi then volunteered to open a portal leading to Earthrealm, particularly at its previous coordinates in Liu's Tomb. The gang headed there after Liu was the only one who had an inclination on where it can be!
