During his first bounty hunting mission as the Young Captain Falcon, Rick received intel from the Falcon Flyer and decided to investigate the Hive, a genetic research facility within the underbelly of Port Town. This was designed for more skilled bounty hunters, but Rick decided to take up the challenge in order to defend the late Falcon's home world. As the savior of the galaxy, will he be successful on preventing the T-Virus from spreading throughout?
Massive Spoilers Ahead!!
Man of Destiny
It's been over a month since Dark Star and Dark Million were obliterated. Rick was finally recovering from his mourning of Falcon's death, and he woke up from a restful sleep with Tinsel in Falcon's Fortress. The maglet gave him a variety of bounties, but one in particular got his attention. An outbreak involving the T-Virus was running amok in a place called The Hive beneath Port Town! He actually took on the mission, even though it would've been designed for experienced bounty hunters; but he took it as honor, rather than a blind choice. Before the mission, though, he requested the Mighty Gazelle to build a special bomb for him, while Jody implanted a honing signal in his new helmet...
It's been several hours since the incident as the Hive was shutting down thanks to the sudden spread of the infection, slaying all the workers, and mutating a few dogs! Actually, to the Young Capt. Falcon's horror, they transformed into flesh-eating zombies!! He wasted no time on obliterating each with the phaser gun the late Douglas Jay was known to use! He also destroyed a motherboard which allowed him entry, before the lasers would slice him into ribbons like the fallen Sanitation Unit!
Before he hit an elevator, though, he hallucinated of the incident in which a group of people perished as one lift slammed miles below, while another group died from a malfunctioning one, even lopping a woman's head!! Rick shook his head and went downstairs! He eventually found four survivors, although there was a chirpy voice, then an altercation. By eavesdropping, Young Falcon found out that Spence was responsible of the outbreak, wanting to make easy hefty money and let the Umbrella Corp rule the universe! Rick caught Spence off guard and knocked him into the pool in the flooded room! The three survivors relied on Falcon, though Alice grew suspicious. After a while, she found out the hero was different than the Falcon she knew; indeed, he was the one who received the mantle and is taking his place. She wasn't thrilled a bounty hunter would get involved, and Rick was skeptical there'd be a cure for the T-Virus since it was designed as a bioweapon. They also came across more zombies, and a "chirp" coming from the bomb ticking, though the Red Queen wasn't about to let the survivors spread the word!
Later on, Rick, Kaplan and Rain were infected, though they all made it to the train! However, the Red Queen sicced a Licker onto them; fortunately, the trio were cured thanks to Alice's restored memory and using the antidote on the train! However... Rick wasn't going down without a fight! He fried the mutant and powered up the train faster just before the bomb exploded and collapsed the foundation utilizing a Reactor Might in his Blue Falcon GT!!
As everything grew silent, Rick collapsed. The trio caught him and his severed helmet, realizing how young the hero was, almost as old as Kaplan's doomed sister. They were soon ambushed by Dr. James Marcus, but...the Galactic Space Federation met up and forced the Umbrella Corp to surrender! Jody spread the rumors and followed the SOS signal from Rick's helmet!! Dr. Stewart messaged Tinsel on Earth, with sorrowful news that Rick was taken to the ICU still in Planet Nintae! Stewart drove her to the hospital and she was startled to see him hanging by a thread. He wasn't sure how to cure him, though he believed he'd stand a chance thanks to the survivors' blood donations with the antibodies, and the 3 Reactor Mights of Light.
Several hours had passed with inactivity. But then, a miracle happened; Rick finally woke up and survived the infection! He actually saw the late Falcon, persuading him to make a choice, and giving him a chance to fight off the virus! Hours later, Rain, Kaplan and Alice were grateful for Young Falcon's help on containing/destroying the outbreak! They assured him they might see him race while they go to other planets and still function within the Sanitation Unit.
Trivia[]
- This was actually a hatefic/crossover of the 2002 Resident Evil movie.
- The title was a play on words from Babe as the final segment named Pig of Destiny.
- This centers around Rick Wheeler and his first bounty-hunting mission as the Young Capt. Falcon; he received the mantle from Douglas Jay Falcon upon his sacrifice after destroying Dark Star.
- Unlike the movie, it's not on Earth, but rather in Planet Nintae, Port Town.
- So too he was successful on destroying the T-Virus as well as the Hive, while the Umbrella Corp and Dr. James Marcus surrenders!
- The cure was actually made by a blood transfusion by three survivors (2 received the antivirus, while 1 was immune) as well as the 3 Reactor Mights of Light.
- The ideas of Alice having her memory swiped and believing she was in a mansion with Spence in the mountains (Arklay Mountains); unlike Earth and Raccoon City, Port Town also is surrounded by mountains, making it the perfect setup.
