Megabyte is a power-hungry, egotistical, and ambitious virus from Mainframe. He is impeccably dignified and sophisticated, however, and always wants to make a good impression, even when he is trying to infect the Super Computer. However, he is also very sadistic, punishing his servants and taking sick pleasure in the agony of his enemies. Megabyte can infect most anyone as long as he can get to their PID. However, he is incapable of infecting a city's leader, such as Phong.
Megabyte also has the ability to attach and detach his legs whenever he is sitting on his hover throne and has deadly retractable claws from both his knuckles and fingertips. He also has a control panel on his left arm that can store codes to control programs and functions of whatever system he is in as well as containing a self-destruct program. He can also regenerate his body from any damage sustained in cyberspace. He has a pet null called Nibbles whom he referred to as "father". Nibbles was later revealed to be a nullified Sprite of Welman Matrix who was Dot and Enzo's father. Welman was responsible for bringing Gigabyte into the Twin City, which resulted in him splitting into Megabyte and Hexadecimal, possibly explaining why Megabyte might view him as a father.
Megabyte was known all over Mainframe for his reputable fights with his sister, Hexadecimal. The pair were created when the virus Gigabyte was caught in an explosion, and each got specific attributes: Hexadecimal got insanity and strong, chaotic power; Megabyte got brawn and a calculating thought-process.
After arriving in Mainframe, Megabyte infected the city's industrial sector, Giedi Prime. All the Binomes living there have been infected and are completely loyal to him. All the sectors' buildings have been turned into construction facilities to build anything he may need in order to take over the rest of the city or other Systems. He ruled the sector from his tower, the Silicon Tor.
The Commander of Megabyte's military was Lieutenant Chauncy and the head of his science and research was Herr Doktor. His main henchmen were Hack and Slash.
Hexadecimal and Megabyte entered into a brief partnership, and he paid his sister several visits at her Lair, however it was merely a ruse to trick Hex so he could get to her stock of powerful viral weapons.

The ReBoot Multiuniverse[]
Megabyte was first seen after he greeted Bob to help him with his favor on stabilizing a Tear to a Portal leading to the Super Computer. Dot, Akari, and her Pokémon met up with him, but he left as a Game Cube was falling. He infected the User, as the Mega User, and was reaching the third level toward the Portal. Kangaskhan's rage distracted him long enough for Bob to reach the Portal first and allowed the heroes to escape and make the Portal disappear!
Since then, his obsession on reaching the Super Computer remained imminent. Even if he has to delete others, including his own sister!! He was also willing to betray Bob and shoot him into the Web, and force Hexadecimal to work for him! Till the Firewall was disabled by Hex, allowing him to escape and render Mainframe into Megaframe before Matrix and company arrived. Only he was able to defeat him, though the virus never accepted it as he rendered a Portal to the Super Computer, till Mouse churned into a Web Portal.
For cycles, he hasn't been seen again, and he disguised himself as Guardian 452 and deceived all civilians, including Dot! In the wedding, Glitch unveiled his true colors and wreaked havoc! He had the ability to absorb codes from his victims and allowing him to disguise himself as them or use his tentacles to infect his victims and create a new army! He then created an alias to avoid capture. And he took over the War Room disguised as Frisket, held Enzo captive, and infected Welman and Phong!
Akari and her new Mega Rayquaza infiltrated the Principal Office and destroyed everyone there but Enzo. The System restored most of the victims and the Trojan virus teamed up with Gnosis. They made their last stand along with Matrix and Bob, with the latter as the Code Master resulting in permanent deletion!
