The Mikado Group Corporation is a massive company that takes advantage of its advanced technology to expand on space energy research. Their headquarters is located in the City of Edge - the main setting for The Bouncer.

The Mikado Corporation's activities often make headlines. Everyone has their attention focused on the premier high technology company.

The previous head of the Mikado Corporation pushed for a more progressive business style that advocated harmony between the community and the environment. His successor, Dauragon C. Mikado, intends to follow through with the same business policy.

The City of Edge, the town where the main characters live, is adjacent to and shares a close relation with Mikado Aqua City. M. A. C. is an artificial island owned by the corporation and is located offshore from the City of Edge, where Mikado's massive headquarters is located. Recreational facilities including a shopping mall and an amusement park are located on the island, as well.

Among the employees of Mikado Corporation, the blue-collar workers reside in the City of Edge, while the white-collar workers reside in Mikado Aqua City.

It would be hard to measure the Mikado Corporation's massive contributions to the community.

The Daily COE[]

The Daily COE (City of Edge) paper reports Mikado's business strategy. The paper has strong ties to Mikado and never openly criticizes Mikado's practices.

REPORT: Space Solar Power Generation Project[]

Following Mikado's lead, high-tech companies worldwide join the Space Solar Power Generation Project. The following outline is included within the business strategy that CEO Dauragon C. Mikado announced beforehand.

1. Launch a satellite that converts sunlight into microwave energy beams.

2. The satellite will be controlled from Earth, and will collect sunlight, sending a microwave beam to a retrieval facility.

3. The collected microwave beam will be converted into energy, which will then be provided to the rest of the world via a global power conduit.

Though there have been previous efforts to use sunlight as an alternate energy source to petroleum and nuclear energy, Mikado's technology makes it possible to amplify the trace quantities of solar energy for worldwide use.

But as journalists point out, sending powerful beams to the surface of the Earth may have adverse effects on humans and livestock. In addition, with the price of this new energy, which is assumed to be very high, there is a question of how many countries will be willing to purchase it. However, since critics have no hard evidence behind their claims, the Mikado corporation has no intention of changing its position on this matter.

The Mikado Building[]

The towers are about 300 meters tall, 100 meters wide. The three towers are named after three sacred items.

MAIN BUILDING (70 stories high) - KAGAMI TOWER (has shopping center facility)

SPACE SHUTTLE CONSTRUCTION FACILITY - TSURUGI TOWER (Rocket launching facility)

SPACE OPERATION BUILDING - MAGATAMA TOWER (Mysterious tower, authorized personnel only)

The Mikado Building headquarters, and symbol of the Mikado Group, was built to carry out large-scale space development operations. Huge amounts of money were invested in building this massive structure. The Mikado Building has three towers, each with its own function. One of these towers houses the space shuttle launching facilities. Supported between the three towers lies a ''Floating Garden,' with artificial forests and recreational facilities.

In the basement level, a dedicated train station services tens of thousands of visitors and employees daily.

With a shopping arcade and entertainment facilities, the Mikado Building functions not only as a simple office building, but as a multi-function structure.

Mikado sponsors many local sports teams; the MIKADO FOOTBALL CLUB has won the corporate all-star tournament for three consecutive seasons.

The Bouncer Tetralogy[]

This was the source of all the trouble throughout Edge, including the involvements of the Bouncers' pasts, the abduction of Dominique, and even a crucial business competitor to the Capsule Corporation! Echidna and Volt were the well-renowned members next to Master Mikado, until he died, Dauragon killed hm to become the new leader, and Volt was framed, then shot as he fled. Volt became the informant of the trio as Sion was desperate to retrieve Dominique who was captured by the corporation as they invaded Fate. The Special Forces head assassin, Mugetsu, lead the charge.

They boarded a cargo train until Echidna complicated matters, then the brakes were cut by the Orage to disable the supplies, thus having seawater flood the maze! The HQ made Air Carriers and the pilots spied on the intruders, in which they boarded one. The fighters were knocked off and the pilot panicked then bailed before Volt crashlanded into the Hanging Garden. They were shortly ambushed by the Group's henchmen, even their android dogs, and Mugetsu himself. They won over the enemies seamlessly, but they were no match for Dauragon who killed his bodyguard Wong; he was also Dauragon's adoptive father's assistant too. The bouncers were separated, but the madman flashed back to his involvement and assimilation involving his sister's terminal death. Sion flashed back at times on Kaldea joining the Group, before Dauragon faked her death in an "explosion," thus becoming his bio-technology experiment.

Ayame broke the news to Bulma who was shocked to learn the Group's still active after being in silence for a few years! She heard of the satellite launch and Goku and Gohan were determined to not only retrieve the remaining Dragon Ball, but to save the world! Goten and Trunks volunteered, and Bulma was reluctant, thus being convinced by the Saiyans even how far Goku came when he was young. The Mikado Group was very similar to the Red Ribbon Army being run by a terroristic leader, experiments and Androids, world domination, etc. She said Dr. Brief was in serious competition with them, till Master Mikado died; without the Capsules, the company would've been bankrupt. The kids went with Ayame though kept a low power level when they returned. To them, the Group was amassed with dark ki energy!

Dauragon alerted the intruders were still alive, thus sending out his agents. The team reunited, after Sion and Ayame found intel of the Group, including their ROBOTOMY experiments, and the so-called project A2. At times, Sion remembered Kaldea being their intern, till her tragic death, and he was curious as to how Dominique (in an alias) was a part of A2. The guys rescued the damsel and retrieved the Ball, before the robots were running amok. Sion and Ayame volunteered to escort her down the Rocket Tower, while Volt, Kou and the kids distracted the guards. She unveiled Wong did the same thing, thus being lost in the city. But they weren't out of the woods as PD-4 intervened and made the women incapacitated! The team came together, but they witnessed Dominique as an android by the Group, while the satellite activated! Dominique shut down, then Mugetsu took her and the Ball to the Galeos, the large space shuttle!

They chased to it and won over Echidna who confessed she framed Volt while she helped Dauragon assassinate the former leader! Volt suggested for her to leave the coldhearted company, but the guys were too late to stop the Galeos! Leann received Kou's signal, and her Orage ship and her fleet fired to slow down the engines. The heroes spotted a new Air Carrier while the Z-Fighters chased with the Nimbus, till Mugetsu challenged them! They won, but the boosters ignited! Luckily, they made it, but as Dauragon fired onto the hospital he was rejected from, he used Dominique as a laser-guiding mechanism. The trio came across the black panther which turned out to be Kaldea, and she spilled the beans on being used as a biologic experiment to make Dominique human and pity Dauragon's loneliness... She was brutally stabbed by his chain before Sion chased after him!

The Z-Fighters were left behind as the Bouncers witnessed the Galeos' destruction onto the world! Sion urged Dominique to stop which caused the computer to crash! Dauragon treated her as expendable and warred against the heroes! They lost their vitality, till the kids pitched in! Goten and Trunks took their last stand while Ayame revived the trio with her Ki Pass and Senzu Beans. She was held hostage, until Sion came to her rescue! Thanks to him, Goten and Trunks, Dauragon was dead, the satellite crashed into the Galeos, and the group escaped thanks to Dominique's dream!

The Mikado Group fell at last...till several years later.

Sion's doppelganger was created after his dark impulses were released via fission. It reanimated some of the deceased members, in which Sion and Gohan decimated, including the reactivated robots till they reached the executive floor where Jet Black Sion was defeated.

It wasn't over as the Yakuza was increasing in might and numbers so rapidly! They invaded Fate once more, and the three Bouncers were on the prowl. They didn't want Dominique this time, but rather increase in strength and numbers. Their hooded leader incapacitated the trio. Ayame, Echidna and Leann followed the former's Ki Sense which took them to Mikado again, only to have the Orage invaded by kamikazes! It and the Nimbus were shot down, and the women came across its experimental biolizard. They won, but the figure activated data chips onto the unconscious men, making them do his bidding! The dark ki was too intense, disabling Ayame's light Ki. The women were separated after the fact that Dauragon had been revived!!

Leann managed to hack into the systems, and it turned out the Group was involved in cloning as well as assimilating the alligator cortex, a hidden area in the brain designed for instinct and mostly the fight-flight impulse. With the data chips active, a subject's mind is submissive and soon degrades with little to no reversal. Thankfully, they destroyed the biolizard and received aide by Chiaotzu who deactivated the chips! Unfortunately, the mounting damage from inside and outside the Dome caused it to collapse! Gohan, Goten, Trunks and Majin Buu approached, while the latter fought off the air fleets and the Saiyans escorted the heroes away!

Dauragon wasn't dead yet!! His dark ki began to multiply as he utilized the same energies from the Yakuza's! He transformed into a gigantic chimera while the Hanging Garden fell! The three Saiyans challenged him, and Gotenks was fused while he and Gohan turned into Super Saiyan 2! Dende warned telepathically they must hurry and neutralize its strength with their light Ki before Gotenks should separate and become vulnerable! It was a gruesome battle, till the heroes realized they must unleash their energies at once, having the chimera be decimated from within! They succeeded moments before Gotenks split!

In the Lookout, Dende justified the Dragon Balls had been used with the Shenron statue losing its luster. Korin believed someone did his research and resurrected Dauragon. Ayame made a wish to wipe out memories of all the people excepting the heroes several years ago, but someone must've caught wind. It was believed since Dauragon couldn't be revived in space, he must've been cloned along with dark Ki, thus him and the chimera as well as assimilating the alligator cortex. With Dauragon and the territories destroyed finally, The Mikado Group became nonexistent!
