Milano

The Milano was an M-class spaceship belonging to Peter Quill, which he used during his escapades as the space outlaw Star-Lord. It later became the main spacecraft used by the Guardians of the Galaxy, until it was severely damaged by a quantum asteroid field and crashed on Berhert unrepaired. It is succeeded by the Benatar.

The vessel known as the Milano was one of the M-Ships used by the Ravagers. These ships were used for scouting and hunting purposes.

As Star-Lord, Quill used the Milano since he was ten years old for looting and piracy, establishing his name as an intergalactic criminal.

It was involved in the battles with Thanos' right-hand man of the Kree, Ronan, and it severely crash landed on Planet Xandar. During the Guardians victory, the Nova Corp actually repaired it, good as new. A couple years later, it was struck down by Sovereign's Omnicrafts, and made a jump to Planet Berhert. Rocket and Groot stayed behind while the other Guardians went with Ego and Mantis to his planet. The remains still stayed behind.

Ikran's F-Zero timeline[]

Even after going thru a black hole, which took Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Mantis, Rocket, and Groot ahead over five centuries, decayed parts of the Milano were still found there! Quill, out of nostalgia, wanted to repair the ship! And they'd used it ever since, even when they crossed paths with Tinsel and Rick in one bounty-hunting mission. Ikran wasn't sure how to use the ship again, nor how the Guardians'd wind up as she hated the Infinity War and Endgame, so it wasn't quite shown in her fics. It made sense they'd use the Milano currently.

Anyway, Star-Lord and Drax came to their aide as they were held hostage by an aggressor. Quill offered the couple their Dilithium Crystal for the Falcon Flyer to make it home, as it was low on energy, in exchange of them receiving the bounty. Rick reluctantly accepted, though Tinsel had no problem with the fair bargain. The Milano can also be noticed when Guardians contacted the couple congratulating them on their upcoming marriage. Peter requested for the recordings to be downloaded to the Milano, and it was thanks to Clank's robot assistant, Tek. He even added some new songs from the event to his playlist of songs from his Awesome Mixtapes.

It wasn't really shown, but Ikran had the idea the Milano'd be their temporary base; since Peter and Rocket are new F-Zero pilots, they can receive prize money, other than bounty-hunting, and make their home base, preferably in Port Town! After a furious dispute against Star-Lord, after revealing his relationship with Ego, Tinsel then decided to give Peter an upgrade; a crimson iPod and iHome for his ship in place of his destroyed Walkman. She criticized him he needs to get with the times! With the prize money, it has expanded to fit 6 bodies easier, and even housed their two machines, the Crimson Centaurian and Harrowing Steer!

Later on, the Milano arrived at Mute City chasing bounty in the Milky Way galaxy and coming across a gangbanger who was a part of the disbanded Bloody Chain. It took the criminal in, and he was monitored by Rocket for a short while. The group reunited with Rick and Tinsel, and they discussed of their future, perhaps settling down in Port Town. It was unveiled that after the Infinity War took place, Peter was obsessed on finding Gamora. The Benatar was caught in a black hole, and it was then the Guardians wound up more than 500 years into the future! Star-Lord found the ancient remains of the Milano at Planet Berhert, where they wound up, and he combined parts with the Milano. They retrieved Gamora then.

The ship soon dropped off the criminal thanks to Peter and Rocket, then it arrived where the Falcon Flyer was, before the Guardians bid farewell.

The Milano is named after Peter Quill's childhood crush Alyssa Milano.
The Milano shares the same colors come from Ego's 1979 Ford Mustang that he drove while on Earth.
Despite there being six members living on the ship, there are only two known sleeping bunks on board.
James Gunn has hinted that the Milano could possibly return.
