Minerva is the Roman goddess of wisdom and war. She appears in The Quest for Beasts episode In The Lap of the Gods, which aired on February 11, 2003. She is voiced by Lucy Lawless of Xena: Warrior Princess fame.
Biography[]
Minerva's early life is unknown. She is the daughter of Jupiter and the sister of the war god Mars. She was worshiped by the Romans as a representation of wisdom, much like her Greek counterpart Athena. When the Romans gave up their polytheist beliefs-presumably under the emperor Theodosius I-the gods went into a stone slumber and reemerged in the 21st century, where they would meet Daniel Cypher and his friends.
Appearance and personality[]
Minerva takes on the appearance of an attractive young woman with long, brown hair, which is tied into a ponytail, hazel eyes and a statuesque, athletic figure. She dresses in golden armor and a gladiator-style helmet. Minerva is an intelligent individual. Unlike her brother Mars, she is much more rational and level-headed.
