Navi is a recurring character in The Legend of Zelda series. She is a Fairy who serves as Link's companion in his quest to save Hyrule.
Ikran's Lost OoT/Pokémon crossover[]
Navi was of course Link's own guardian fairy as the Great Deku Tree assigned her as such while the forest was being sapped by evil, and the Tree cursed. Zelda II and seven of her Pokémon met her as well and assisted her and Link while Navi guided him thru, even seeing an enemy's weakness. Navi has been an essential partner to the young Hylain, even the Trainer, and thru their adult years.
Navi was also Zelda II's partner too, especially after Link was comatose from the lethal, invincible impacts by Bongo Bongo when he nearly destroyed Kakariko Village. She did become Link's partner again as Zelda II fell ill. One time, she was trapped within an empty Bottle after she pleaded Link to never give into the Gerudos' and Ganondorf's thrall. She was saved after Mewtwo was able to incapacitate him and return him to his senses.
She still remained as the duo's partner, even when the Trainer was hapless without her Pokémon as they stepped into Ganondorf's Castle. Unfortunately, she was unable to withstand his waves of darkness, disabling her to get close and read his weakness. Until he turned into Ganon for the last stand!
There was a time split, but as Link and Zelda II returned to the past permanently, she decided it was time to leave them as he fulfilled his destiny as the Hero of Time.
The Lost Legend of Namira[]
Link and Zelda II were reluctant if they would want to stay in the future, and when night was falling onto the Graveyard, it was eventually decided that Navi shall no longer be Link's partner. It was a sad departure.
Brought Together, Torn Apart[]
Instead of dying since her keeper fulfilled his destiny, Saria took her as her own guardian fairy as a replacement for Saria's fairy that died as she was imprisoned in the Forest Temple.
It's implied that Navi was Link's and Zelda II's partner again when the Imprisonment War began.
Daemon Rising with a...SMASH![]
Navi, along with the Sages, was part of the large audience of the Smashers' allies below Peach's tower encouraging them to fight back Daemon and prevent the world from being corrupted.
Trivia[]
- Navi was chosen as one of Ikran's favorite Petites in Video Games. She grew so weary on fans belligerently whining about her, as she never found her annoying nor preachy; more like Tinker Bell or Jiminy Cricket. The English Dub of OoT should prove this!
