Pikachu

Pikachu is a species of Pokémon, fictional creatures that appear in an assortment of media of the Pokémon franchise by The Pokémon Company. Pikachu is a yellow mouse-like Pokémon with powerful electrical abilities. In most vocalized appearances, including the anime and certain video games, it is primarily voiced by Ikue Ōtani. A Pikachu also appears as part of the main cast in the live-action animated film Pokémon Detective Pikachu, played in CGI and voiced by Ryan Reynolds.

Pikachu's design was conceived by Atsuko Nishida and finalized by Ken Sugimori. Pikachu first appeared in Pokémon Red and Green in Japan, and later in the first internationally released Pokémon video games, Pokémon Red and Blue, for the Game Boy.

Pikachu is the best-known species of Pokémon since Generation I, largely due to its appearance in the anime series as the starter Pokémon of the protagonist, Ash Ketchum. Pikachu is a major character of the Pokémon franchise as well as its mascot and has become an icon of Japanese pop culture in recent years, as well as one of the major mascots for Nintendo.

Pikachu has electricity-storing pouches on his cheeks. These appear to become electrically charged during the night while Pikachu sleeps. He occasionally discharges electricity when he is dozy after waking up.

Whenever Pikachu comes across something new, he blasts it with a jolt of electricity. If you come across a blackened berry, it's evidence that Pikachu mistook the intensity of his charge.

He is the Version Mascot for the game Pokémon Yellow; he is also well known from the anime. Pikachu evolves from Pichu when leveled up with high friendship and evolves into Raichu when exposed to a Thunder Stone. When in Alola, he evolves into his Alolan form.

Its name is a combination of ピカピカ pikapika, which is and onomatopoeia for sparkle and チューチュー chūchū, the sound of a mouse squeaking. Its name is of Japanese origin.

In Generation VIII, Pikachu has its own Gigantamax form.

The Reboot Multiuniverse[]

Pikachu only appeared as a backup character. She was one of Mewtwo's clones that was copied by Ash's Pokémon, and she was one of the best fighters in the Smash tournaments. She appeared as one of them trained by Akari and hadn't used her in Mainframe till the system was crashing thanks to Megabyte's destruction. She was a quick fighter that teamed up with her Raichu, even against multiple Users released into the System.

She appeared later in Daemon Rising with a...SMASH! at Peach's Castle as one of the supportive characters. For the first time she can actually speak telepathically, encouraging the other Smashers to save Mainframe and the Net. She appeared during a showdown between Bob and Samus within the Brinstar Depths, paralyzing the Guardian at times for the bounty hunter to have the upper hand. Overall, the war was won by Samus and Mewtwo.

Ikran's Lost OoT/Pokémon crossover[]

She was one of Zelda II's Pokémon. She was one of the first Pokémon to arrive in Hyrule at the Kokiri Forest with Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Sandshrew, Meowth, and Scyther. Zelda II assisted Link to reverse the curse in the Great Deku Tree only to pass away moments later. She soon went with Meowth and visited Lon Lon Ranch, where all the other Normal-Types stayed. She then decided to stick with Link and Zelda II at Zora's Domain with Squirtle and Bulbasaur. They found Ruto inside the hungry Jabu-Jabu and even gave her some shocks to keep her in check! She was one of the Pokémon vital for their survival, even against the Bigocto and the Barinade. After that, they got the Zora's Sapphire, which were one of the Stones to open the Door of Time.

Seven years later, she evolved into Raichu at Gerudo Valley. But she was useful inside the Spirit Temple as Link was a kid without her Trainer.

Recessional of the Red Dragons[]

Pikachu was the only Pokémon in Mary's team who remained outside of her Poké Ball. Her nickname was Daffodil, and she worked well with the other Electric-Types during the Red Dragon War, whether it'd be paralyzing the agents, disabling a minefield, or just shocking any approaching agents.
