Professor Horatio Hart designed his own laboratory in a distant plain within Cross World City. Before he was killed by Karl Ziktor as Grimlord, he and his trusted assistant, Tyler Steele, built the lab and virtual technology to protect the reality barrier. By the time Hart's body was severely crippled, only his brain survived and became the heart of the lab. It's a triangular structure consisting of a protective portal leading into the lab, and a diamond jewel which seems to be the link between the real world and virtual reality. Tyler and Horatio designed the inside, even gave future VR Troopers inventions including the Virtualizers, the VR-VTs to contact the professor, the Virtual Visors, a hospital bed for recovery, a computer linked to the virtual realm, an occasional tall capsule encasing VR armor, and a materializer to transport objects. When virtual reality is attacked, so does the lab, and a lot of times it'd even have Battle Grid alerts. The lab has been the VR Troopers' and Prof Hart's main place of operations; it can even be reachable thru VR-VTs and Tao's PC when JB or Ryan uses it.
We Are VR Troopers![]
This was one of the main places in the crossover fic. The Troopers, Jeb, Chita and Galileo often visit there. The Mutants never occupy the place since they're bound to virtual reality. It's still connected to the realm, even the various fields the Mutants occupy, even to the same War Stadium that Chita encountered as she first met them. With the help of Galileo destroying Oraclon, JB hooked it up to the PC locating the Dark Fortress aimlessly floating over Asteroid 66, the home of the elusive Turbo Techies. The Mutants contacted the team during their observations, even declared war.
Tyler and the professor hurriedly invented experimental VR armor for Chita, a cheetah-like style with experimental animalistic traits. It was fully functional though needed the kinks worked out. Unfortunately...the lab and the professor met their demise as Gen. Ivar and Col. Icebot destroyed the lab and reduced it into shambles...
Several years after the war, Tyler managed to rebuild and advance another lab. But with the former lair gone, Jeb lost his ability to speak.
