Purgatory Sword
The Purgatory Sword was found under thin patches of soil at Purgatory by Gavin Lucas. After he dove into the doorway after Ichabod, his feet brushed upon something metallic. He revealed an ancient blade that had foreign etchings/holes on the blade's handle, and it suddenly gave him a small jolt. It was as if the sword and its owner were one, since Gavin, Ichabod, and Abbie escaped from Purgatory and Moloch, it never dissipated into dust like the crimson key. Since then, it became Gavin's primary weapon throughout the fanfic series since The Greenhorn's Gamble, an inspiration from the Season 2 premiere.

Gavin with Demonslayer
Overtime, it gained a few new abilities. When it was combined with salt, the sword can inflict twice as much damage to demons, undead, etc. At one time, it had an even match when Henry was in possession of the Sword of Methuselah as Gavin made his last stand before blacking out.

Demonslayer
Before the Rapture took place, Alex made an upgrade to Gavin's blade as it took a few weeks to forge and file it into its upgraded version, the Demonslayer! It's thinner, slimmer, and causes twice as much damage than its predecessor, and it was still Gavin's primary weapon from The Missing Episodes onward. It also gained the ability to build up energy as Gavin raises the blade, before he should make a downthrust and create a massive shockwave to stun enemies when it stabs into the ground!
It turned out those ancient, foreign symbols were a Sumerian language saying that sword used to belong to one of the Witnesses/Destroyers 2000 years ago! Before they may have been imprisoned in Purgatory by body/spirit. As Gavin gained the Virtue of Fortitude, it was official it was his weapon, rather than the Witnesses as it was originally intended; Ichabod offered Gavin to keep it.
Trivia[]
- Some ideas like Gavin's introduction to the sword as well as its quaking ability were inspired by Starfox Adventures. Other traits are roughly inspired by Supernatural, like combining salt with the sword, Ocarina of Time and Final Fantasy IV.
