Raccoon City (ラクーン?) was a small, industrialized city located in Arklay County, an isolated mountain county in the Midwestern United States. It was destroyed during the T-Virus outbreak in 1998. At present, the area is cordoned off to the rest of the world by a U.S. government facility.

The location was revamped in one of the events in Ikran's F-Zero timeline. Raccoon City and the Arklay mountain range still exist; however, not in Earth, but rather within Planet Nintae, in Port Town's mountain chain. Same deal with The Hive just tons of leagues beneath the advanced space port. Alice, Spence and the Sanitation Unit were from that place.
