Rain Ocampo was a member of an Umbrella special forces commando unit. During the outbreak in The Hive, she and the other operatives were sent down into the underground facility to contain the T-Virus infection. Rain was later cloned for experimentation by the Red Queen.

Rain was part of the Sanitation Unit sent by J.D., who later fell, and she wound up as one of the survivors with Alice and Kaplan. Rain was facing death as she had been scratched and bitten by the undead swarms infected by the T-Virus infestation, and at one time, Alice wasn't willing to sacrifice Rain in exchange for the codes on escaping by the Red Queen. She found out the only way to kill the undead directly was to shoot them in the head, as did Young Capt. Falcon. He knocked Spence into the submerged room, and Rain was shocked that a bounty hunter of all people would be involved. The infection was beginning to mutate fast, interfering with her focus, and Alice led the duo to the train where the cure was found! She inserted the antivirus into her and Kaplan at the nick of time, before a Licker invaded the powerless train. Rick, in a desperate attempt, powered up using his Reactor Might from the Blue Falcon GT, and incinerated the mutation just before the Hive exploded! Rain appreciated Falcon's actions, even if it was his first mission and how young he was. The Umbrella Corp arrived then was forced by the Federation to surrender. Rain offered Rick her antibodies via blood transfusion for his survival, and with the Reactor Mights of Light, it worked! Rain shall stick with the Sanitation Unit and hunt down any more illegal activity in other worlds, and she can't wait to see him race!
