Reiko is a character in the Mortal Kombat fighting game series. He made his debut in Mortal Kombat 4.
Reiko is a grim and stoic looking man with a penchant for brutality. He was originally introduced in a typical ninja archetype in Mortal Kombat 4. Reiko also has several similarities to Shao Kahn and has developed a desire to become the ruler of Outworld.
A new version of Reiko appears in Mortal Kombat 1 as a playable character for the first time in 16 years. In the New Era, Reiko returns as a lieutenant to Shao, who's now a general.

Mortal Kombat: Shinnok's Uprising[]
Reiko was one of the fugitives that escaped from the Netherrealm along with Shinnok, Quan Chi, Scorpion, and the Army of Darkness!
Reiko then led an ambush at the desolated Tomb in which Liu thought this was a secretive passage to the Edenian Palace. He and Kai were cornered by Onis, and he challenged the Champion to a fight. He was impressed with Liu's skills, though it wasn't enough to save Kai! He incapacitated him and gave Liu the slip!
He met up with Kung Lao and Aiko after rescuing the POWs in the massive prison! Kai was wounded by him and urged the heroes to defeat the elitist. Lao took on the challenge as he urged Aiko for healing duties. At first it was a club-on-club battle consisting of his and Lao's borrowed by Aiko's. They seemed evenly matched and decided to throw in lethal shurikens in which most were deflected by Lao's Whirlwind Kick. He also threw in his scythe in which Lao blocked with his aloft feet, aching them. Thanks to a technique inspired by Kahn, Lao whirled his club around numerously till he managed to knock Reiko's metal helmet away! He was very dazed, until the former monk spun and tossed him to the rotating fan in the ceiling, splattering his body!! Aiko drained his remaining energy in which the green streaks were absorbed by Kai and Lao restoring them both.
Final Kombat[]
Reiko was employed as one of Shao Kahn's generals, even though his allegiance can still be for Shinnok. He was inside Kahn's Fortress tasked to keep away intruders, including Taven and Hanzo, and the latter challenged him while the former searched for a way out. He was a formidable opponent but recalling his tactics despite being a tad weaker as a human, Hanzo eventually caved into his rage and incinerated him! He failed to take in Taven and Orin's advice on crippling their enemies instead of killing them, as they'd be restored in the Netherrealm prepared for Armageddon.
Reiko was involved in the war, but he was soon incinerated with the other Forces of Darkness in Blaze's and Liu's firestorm.
Trivia[]
- Since Ikran had little experience with MK4/GOLD, the only one she found suitable enough was Robin Atkin Downes from Mortal Kombat Legends: Battle of the Realms; being how much she hates the movie, this role might be just as fitting, aside from the usual grunts.
