Rocket Raccoon is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by writer Bill Mantlo and artist Keith Giffen, the character first appeared in Marvel Preview #7 (Summer 1976). He is an intelligent, anthropomorphic raccoon, who is an expert marksman, weapon specialist and master tactician. His name and aspects of his character are a nod to The Beatles' 1968 song "Rocky Raccoon". Rocket Raccoon appeared as a prominent member in the 2008 relaunch of the superhero team, the Guardians of the Galaxy.
The character has appeared in several media adaptations as a member of that team, including animated television series, toys and video games. He appears in the Marvel Cinematic Universe films Guardians of the Galaxy (2014), Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017), Avengers: Infinity War (2018), and Avengers: Endgame (2019). In these appearances, Rocket Raccoon is voiced by Bradley Cooper, with motion capture provided by Sean Gunn. Rocket will return in Thor: Love and Thunder (2022) and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (2023).
In the Telltale series, based on the comics, he had a girlfriend named Lylla Otter who passed on as he escaped from the Halfworld institution.

Ikran's F-Zero timeline[]
Rocket, along with the other Guardians, had went thru a black hole which made them jump five centuries into the future at one point during the Infinity War. When he met Tinsel and Rick, he became sympathetic with her due to knowledge of dealing with mental illness; they also both have OCD. Rocket congratulated them on their upcoming matrimony, and he grew pissed after the fight with Quill, as he never wanted Tinsel to abandon the group. He also became an F-Zero racer and a huge rival to Peter. His machine's the Harrowing Steer.
He came to Rick and Tinsel's aid in Mute City as they were cornered by a gangbanger from the disbanded Bloody Chain thanks to his Laser Gun! They reunited and discussed of their futures in the Milano. He was keeping an eye out on the prisoner to make sure he was incapacitated. By the time he was, he boasted there's "ain't no thing like me, except me," meaning he's the only one of his kind, though Tinsel reassured he might not be. He was actually interested on visiting the Lylat System since there are anthropomorphic species there after he learned of the Aparoid invasion. So much had changed after the Infinity War, as Peter was obsessed on finding Gamora, till they blacked out after they were seized in a black hole! At Planet Berhert, he assisted Peter to assemble his long, lost craft with the Benatar. They soon found a memory-less Gamora, and they adapted to this new time. He even translated Groot on wanting to visit Planet Tortiz 3 specifically Green Plant. He reminisced on losing Yondu, Groot, and Tony Stark, though he wishes to settle and take a break from the Guardians for a while once they should settle in Port Town.

Trivia[]
- Since Rocket meant so much to Ikran, he has been chosen as one of her Favorite Rodents in Video Games.
- Mistakenly...he was chosen for the list, even though raccoons weren't classified as rodents.
- Rocket Raccoon is Ikran's second favorite character sharing the name with her first favorite, Rocket from Sucker Punch.
- While Ikran never saw Guardians Vol. 3 till a few years after the last oneshot, it can be implied that Rocket still escaped from the High Evolutionary and Batch 89 still died, then events from Vol. 3 still took place after Endgame before the Guardians, still active, found that black hole.
