In Other Media[]
Sonic X[]
Rouge the Bat appears in the Sonic X anime series and its comic series published by Archie Comics. After arriving on Earth, she was robbing museums for their gems when she was recruited by the President and his staff to be a G.U.N. agent. Deciding to play along with their weak threats and accepting the proposal, she was assigned by the high brass with a human agent as her partner, Topaz, who Rouge became close friends with over the course of the series.
Unlike the games at the time of Sonic X's airing, Rouge goes on more adventures, either by herself or with the heroic cast, and is frequently treated as a comparable fighter to Sonic the Hedgehog himself. When spending time not doing government missions, she is found chilling together with Topaz and window shopping for priceless gems. She loves making suggestive idioms to the handsome echidna Knuckles and getting him hot under his collar.
Six months after returning to Sonic's world, Rouge allied herself with team Eggman for her own reasons and looked after an amnestic Shadow the Hedgehog when he reappeared during the cast's space traveling adventure to defeat the Metarex.
Sonic Prime[]
Rouge the Bat is interested in a new shiny object: the Paradox Prism. She has no problem working with Sonic and friends, but she states she usually likes to do things her way. However, she is shown to have a genuine friendship with them. Due to the Paradox Prism's incident, Rouge is displaced across different dimensions from the Shatterverse. Her alternate counterparts are Rebel Rouge from New Yoke City, Prim Rouge from Boscage Maze, and Batten Rouge from No Place.
Archie Comics[]
Rouge the Bat appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. Very much like her video game version, Rouge is an agent of G.U.N. with a fondness of riches, especially rare, beautiful gems, and has often searched for or stolen jewels. She had many run ins with various people on Mobius, such as fighting Bunnie Rabbot to a standstill over a misunderstanding, dated Evil Sonic for a bit before he turned into Scourge, had several run-ins in the past with Fiona Fox and Nic the Weasel, often beating them to rare treasures, and thus has something of a former rivalry with the pair, and forming Team Dark as her game counterpart.
