Samus Aran is the protagonist of the video game series Metroid by Nintendo. She was introduced in the 1986 video game Metroid.
Samus Aran is an ex-soldier of the Galactic Federation who became a galactic bounty hunter, usually fitted with a powered exoskeleton that is equipped with weapons such as directed-energy weapons and missiles. Throughout the series, she executes missions given to her by the Galactic Federation while hunting the antagonistic Space Pirates and their leader Ridley, along with the parasitic energy-draining organisms called Metroids.
Samus has appeared in every Metroid video game and has also been featured in media outside of the series, including in the Super Smash Bros. series and in the comic book continuation of Captain N: The Game Master. She is recognized as one of the earliest female video game protagonists and has remained a popular character.
The ReBoot Multiuniverse[]
Samus was the most reliable ally to both Akari and Mewtwo. She was chosen by the Master Hand to fight in tourneys, which was when they encountered her. On one fateful day, Mainframe was under attack by a group of software pirates called the Crimson Binome, and Akari signaled for Samus to help her and her Normal-Types to drive them out and save the guardian, Bob. As all hope was lost, Samus suddenly materialized within her gunship and file-locked the ship, allowing the heroes to escape! Since she had a deep hatred with pirates, she was more than happy to take them away! Akari then explained of who her friend was.
Later on, Mainframe was under an intense war against the Web. Samus was contacted and she transferred most of Akari's Pokémon to safety. Unfortunately, she was unsuccessful while the System's web address and location were being erased thanks to Mouse, as the Web won't be attacked anymore! As Bob was shot into the Web, Samus took him in via tractor beam, and nursed him back to health just as she received a distress signal from the Ceres space station!
As she spotted the Saucy Mare, she and her comrades approached it and halted an assault by rogue Web Creatures. As Bob reunited with his friends, Samus explained of her mission as she chased Ridley to Zebes, rescued the missing baby Metroid, and destroyed the planet and the space pirates for good! Sadly, the web traps set by Mouse caused her to separate. She later reunited as Mainframe had just been restored after a system crash.
She was cruising thru the Web for more bounty when she received a distress call from Dot, saying the Guardians, led by Daemon, has assaulted Mainframe! She immediately went on the case and reunited with Akari. She soon recruited many of the Smashers to overthrow Daemon and win over the Net War. With the help from Mewtwo, and Hex's sacrifice, she was successful on saving the Net and her brainwashed friend, Bob, as Akari declared she will never return.

Trivia[]
- Ikran has chosen Samus to be one of her Female Characters in Video Games.
- She'd much rather prefer Samus to have Veronica Taylor as her ideal VA, contrary to those in the games; much like Jody Summer, she'd much rather have an authorative tone than either silent or have a weak persona like in Other M.
