Sandslash (Japanese: サンドパン Sandopan) is a Ground-type Pokémon introduced in Generation I, and an Ice/Steel-type Pokémon introduced in Generation VII which is exclusive to Pokémon Moon.

Sandslash was found inside the Fire Temple and reunited with the team. He had a better time there than at the Dodongo's Cavern, especially when slashing and digging at enemies, even using his spines as shields from projectiles.
He was also very useful as Zelda II summoned him to dig deep and quickly in Namira's secret dungeon.

Sandslash was a decent fighter inside the Game Cube involving Rocky the Rabid Raccoon.
