Saria is a character in Ocarina of Time. She is Link's childhood friend from his years in the Kokiri Forest. She is well-liked amongst other Kokiri, particularly by their boss, Mido, whose dislike of Link might be partially explained by the latter's close friendship with Saria. She often travels to the Sacred Forest Meadow to play her Ocarina. She plays a song that inspires people to dance called "Saria's Song." When Link becomes the Hero of Time, he rescues Saria from the Forest Temple and allows her to awaken as the Forest Sage.
Ikran's Lost OoT/Pokémon crossover[]

Saria with Link and the Forest Pokemon
Saria played a pivotal role. Link of course was a great friend to Saria, she was even impressed of him having his guardian fairy, Navi, so too was with Zelda II's Grass and Bug Pokémon. She was a little mad with Mido preventing Link from seeing the Great Deku Tree, then later heard about its curse, and had said goodbye to him and the Trainer; she was the only one that never believed Link to kill their forest guardian.
She was seen later in her private place at the Sacred Forest Meadow Grotto in the Lost Woods, feeling this place can have meaning someday. And she taught Link and Zelda II her signature song, which was very useful on cheering people up, even with Darunia later on; the Grass and Bug Pokémon did give a great liking to her.
She wasn't seen again till 7 years later, only this time she was missing; the Kokiri began to worry about the condition of the forest, and that she and Mido went to the Lost Woods and never returned. It wasn't until Link remembered and played Saria's Song to Mido, making him recognize him and allowed the trio passage to the Sacred Forest Meadow infested by Moblins. By the time they made it, Link was devastated to see the stump barren, and Saria presumed to be dead. After some encouragement by Sheik, he actually played her song, and it was when she told him she needed help! Sheik once said the Forest Sage was a girl he knew. So, the trio went in, conquered the temple, and met Saria at the Chamber of Sages. Link and Saria reunited! And she said he didn't have to explain as to why he needed to leave the forest as he regretted doing it. Zelda II offered 3 of her Pokémon: Venusaur, Meganium, and Butterfree. She gave them the Forest Medallion and took them back to the Deku Tree meadow where they met the Deku Sprout!

She appeared again once all 6 Sages were ready to take the fight to Ganondorf, and she was cheering the trio on! They were soon able to seal Ganondorf inside the Evil Realm, restoring Hyrule!
The Lost Legend of Namira[]
The timeline split, and as Link and Zelda II were reluctant on leaving the future, Saria sensed an ancient Gerudo evil brewing, worrying if Link should get swayed by Namira.
Brought Together, Torn Apart[]
Saria retrieved her new guardian fairy, Navi! Replacing the fairy who'd perished as she nearly did at the Temple. They both hinted Link on how his life partner should be. And eventually...he chose Zelda II!! Saria also gifted him the pan flute as Zelda II owned her Fairy Ocarina. Which soon functioned to summon Flying-Types during the Imprisonment War.
Coronation and Dreams[]
Saria, as a Forest Sage, was eventually chosen by the new Queen Zelda as the guardian of the forest, and perhaps elitist, and had permission to use Zelda II's Bug and Grass-Types.
Daemon Rising with a...SMASH![]
Saria, along with Navi and the other Sages, was part of the large audience of the Smashers' allies below Peach's tower encouraging them to fight back Daemon and prevent the world from being corrupted.
Trivia[]
- Ikran has chosen Saria to be one of her Female Characters in Video Games.
