Sea of Monster in Sea of Blood in MK11

The Sea of Blood is a region found near the Wastelands in the Realm of Outworld.

This entire lake was filled with blood. The souls of the dead that are there are put to use with their bodies added to the sea of the blood of the damned. The sea is also bottomless; those who fall in it can never escape.

The primary arena is situated on a seaside cove situated near the banks of the actual Sea of Blood, with Kharon's ship and fleet seen in the far background near an overlooking tower, or lighthouse. In the cove itself are long worn rocks and cliff sides, the undersides covered in blood-red algae, a long-abandoned anchor with a skull on it, blood-colored weeds and ferns, and a rotting carcass of a leviathan to the far left just under the cliff side.

Sea of Blood (MK11)

Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks, Part II[]

There were some flashbacks when Kung Lao mentioned the Sea of Blood as he and Liu Kang were assisting Kuai after he made preparations on his own ship; the cryomancer was chasing after Noob Saibot whom he believes is his older brother as well as Scorpion. It was thanks to him that made the Shaolin Monks progress to the Netherrealm.

It was soon believed that the Bloody Sea was a universal conduit between the Netherrealm and Outworld.

Final Kombat[]

Raiden took Aiko, Kung Lao, Frederick, Nightwolf and Hanzo into the underworld via portal for espionage on all their enemies gathering for Armageddon. He suggested to enter Shinnok's Spire discreetly with no portals and due to his limited abilities; he then found Kharon's Ship and used it to sail across the Bloody Sea until it was being ransacked by the undead legions. Aiko soon got a headache and contracted severe nausea and lightheadedness as she was sensitive to the horrid environment. She aimlessly wandered too close to the edge of the main deck and fell straight to it!!

Lao cried for her, until a red dragon swooped her away and saved her life!! He turned out to be Caro, the same serpent who defected from the Red Dragons and Daegon!! Caro rose higher over the sea to avoid further angst and breathed fire onto the ship making it sink! Thanks to Frederick's blip ability, he carried the heroes to safety and landed on the far-off island while Caro and Aiko met up with them. Being that they didn't have a way back, Caro offered to make them a portal to Earth with Taven tagging along.

Trivia[]

  • This area could be based upon the disturbing Round 4, the Bloody Pond, from Bonze Adventure/Hell Tour.
