Sheeva is a character in the Mortal Kombat fighting game series who made her debut in Mortal Kombat 3.

Originally appearing as a character in Mortal Kombat 11's Story Mode, Sheeva returns as a playable character through DLC as part of Aftermath.

Sheeva belongs to the Shokan, an ancient race of mighty four-armed half Human, half Dragon beings from Outworld that are the archenemies of the Centaurian race. As with all Shokan, she possesses a tall, muscular build, four arms, reptilian eyes, dragon scales, three digits on each hand, and two big toes on each foot.

Sheeva served as the personal bodyguard of Queen Sindel during Shao Kahn's failed invasion of Earthrealm, and later became Queen of the Shokan after the death of Goro's father, King Gorbak.

Although she has dutifully served Shao Kahn in the past, Sheeva's foremost loyalty is to the Shokan race, and it is shown that she will not hesitate to betray Shao Kahn if he threatens her people. She has also cooperated with Earthrealmers on numerous occasions. For these reasons, she is widely considered to be a neutral character.

Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks, Part II[]

Sheeva was first seen in Aiko's first meditation session as she saw her rally her Shokan troops during the insurrection of Kahn's throne of Outworld. Liu was skeptical of her, as the Shokan were proven time and again to be enemies, but Kitana had them assigned to overthrow the Konquerer. At first Sheeva was nothing more than a disguise made by Shang Tsung just to gain loyalty and make the throne his. With Raiden finding out about his plot, the real Sheeva still took his side as Kahn always insulted her kind as inferior compared to their worst enemy, the Centaurs. They got involved in a lethal scrimmage, and Kahn escaped.

She was still anointed as Sindel's own bodyguard as before, even prior to Kahn's dominion over Edenia. Since the insurrection failed, Sheeva was put under the Konquerer's mercy, however, she was willing to work for him under the Centaur, Motaro, who was the elite general of Kahn's extermination squads.

Later on, she ambushed Kung Lao and Nightwolf as they entered the Soul Chamber, and the shaman took up the fight while the monk ascended to the Balcony. Sheeva put up a brutal fight against the Matokan, even when he was empowered by the imprisoned souls. Her lethal Shokan Jumps left several marks, but she wasn't expecting Nightwolf to deflect her energy projectiles back at her from his chest! Nightwolf conjured lightning into his tomahawk, however, she was spared as Sindel, Liu Kang and Kitana broke into the fray! Kitana reasoned with her that she was proven as the proud protector of the former Edenian queen, and they can have their chance restoring the lost kingdom if the Champion's successful. Eventually, Sheeva submitted on account she was outnumbered as well as enduring her mounting injuries.

By the time she assisted the heroes on destroying the Soul Chamber, Jax's quakes caused a ceiling to collapse. Sheeva offered to ascend thru the hole using her strong arms and climbing up the rubble, only to lose Kung Lao... The realms' fates were now in Liu Kang's hands... Although she offered Nightwolf to use his shamanistic skills, along with hers, which reduced Motaro to a simpleton by shrinking his body into a bipedal figure with a shorter tail and stature. Sheeva and Sindel assisted Kitana, Asgaarth and other reformed denizens in rebuilding the ruins of Edenia.

Shinnok's Uprising[]

Sheeva became Kitana's and Sindel's protector and valuable partner. She alerted the Queen of the coming group of refugees, and she felt very suspicious of the escapees from Triche, even when they mentioned their enslaving master, Sil Kaad, which to her sounded remarkably familiar to Shao Kahn. She never accepted the enchanted opal offered to the unsuspecting denizens, and it burst open to a portal letting the Army of Darkness invade the palace! She didn't stand a chance against the usurpers from the Netherrealm!

Days later, some of the prisoners were growing weary and weak, even herself... Until they noticed Kung Lao and Aiko outside of their crowded cell. He urged them to back up, though there wasn't a lot of wiggle room. He still Teleported behind the booby-trapped prisons and warped the inmates out under Quan Chi's and Shinnok's noses. The former monk contacted Sonya to conjure a portal leading into Earthrealm; she stated it can only be created from the last pinpoint close to the Bayan Har Mountains. Much to Lao's relief, he led everyone to the Wu Shi Academy, despite the monks' dismay on encountering otherworlders.

A few days later, the Edenians returned home, and the monarchs stated to Nightwolf that they must be more prepared for any future invitations from refugees, while also keeping in mind that only six realms exist, according to Raiden. She was also thankful her kind had finally come to terms with the Centaurs.

Mortal Kombat: Vengeance[]

Sheeva still functioned as Sindel's bodyguard and advisor while Asgaarth alerted them, Kitana and Jade a group of Earthrealmers arrived thru the palace gates. Sindel offered the guards to let them pass, and while the Edenians were excited to see the heroes after so long! However, Sheeva was less thrilled and coyer, thinking something must be up in their homeworld. Sonya and Nightwolf offered the heroes to leave, while Kung Lao and Aiko broke the troubling news regarding the Deadly Alliance. She decided to hold the fort with the eagle humanoid and Sindel while she'd recruit some possible warriors to counter the undead minions, while her distant mutual, Goro, was regulating the Shokans with the Centaurs.

Sheeva was soon seen with Goro inside the Palace, assuring and tending his anxieties of the heroes warring against the Deadly Alliance. She even offered him Edenian tea and assured he should remember the positives, even Kung Lao bringing peace to their people. Goro prayed to the Elder Gods he and his allies'd be successful, until everyone's faces fell when Asgaarth broke the news the team engaged their enemies...

Sheeva was relieved when the heroes won over the Deadly Alliance and was so awestruck on a time displaced Baraka from the distant future was willing to turn on his own lethal clan and assist the Kombatants liberating Outworld. She decreed the Shokan and Centaurs shall keep a sharp eye on Baraka and his clan if he ever decided to relocate near the Edenian border.

Return of the Dragon King[]

Sheeva greeted Kung Lao and Hanzo as they went inside the Edenian Palace; it was implied that she and Goro are a couple! She became determined to defend Sindel and the royal guard with her life after she heard of Onaga's second koming. However...luck wasn't on her side as she was ordered to stay at the Palace with Goro and Asgaarth, while Sindel, Jade, Liu's spirit, and the other knights shall investigate the Lost Tomb along with Onaga's remains.

Thankfully, Edenia was saved, and Kitana was restored along with Jerrod!

Final Kombat[]

Sheeva was with Goro as they discussed with the Edenian royals in the throne room for the possibility of the Shokan moving to Australia and begin anew, away from the dreaded wars and the foreboding Outworld. Sindel and Kitana were disappointed on not having their personal bodyguard, until Kintaro barged in! Goro took him on and defeated him easily, yet he never killed him. Sheeva agreed to spare him too, even go back on their forbidding of kindness. Lao and Goro made peace with each other and soon the Centaurs, and they wanted Kintaro to take over their ranks as long as he doesn't slip and work for Kahn again; she even stated that Kahn abandoned her and Goro in favor of Motaro during the invasion, to see how treacherous his master was.

She joined with Goro as Kintaro was licking his wounds during the discussion with Liu and Kitana. She agreed the army of darkness in Armageddon might fracture due to the treachery of the Deadly Alliance or Kahn with Onaga. She supported Liu's strategies on taking down their enemies one by one before reaching Blaze and let some factions be if they should annihilate each other. Until Armageddon should be over and if they'd survive, Sheeva shall resume her duties as Sindel's bodyguard and supporter to Goro and Kintaro.

She rode on the Netherwing en route to the southern crater and assisted the heroes, even when she was ambushed by Kahn, Motaro and other enemies.

Much like Goro, she was gravely wounded; however, thanks to the fire cocoon conjured by Fire God Liu Kang over Blaze's decimating flames, as well as Cetrion's remorseful tears as recuperating rain, they lived! After that, it was official for the Shokan to relocate to Australia! By wiping out the criminals, including some Black Dragon stragglers, Sheeva was able to work things out with the Prime Minister and world generals in order to occupy the continent and become the new protectors from Earthrealm, with Kintaro taking her stead as Sindel's bodyguard.
