The Space Shuttle (スペースシャトル) is a spacecraft that the Maverick Hunters have in their base in Mega Man X5. The Space Shuttle was infected by the Sigma Virus and the auto-pilot function stopped working. If the Enigma is not able to destroy the space colony Eurasia, someone will need to pilot the shuttle to collide into the colony to destroy it, the pilot ejecting the last minute before impact. Zero pilots the shuttle and survives the operation regardless of the results.

It wasn't seen until it caught up to the Swordfish which was destroying the Bebop! Zero piloted the ship and got involved with Spike's scrimmage while X was busy evacuating the crew from the doomed vessel. While it was slow by comparison, since the latter's a modified MONO racer, it was still just as formidable in combat. So much so that Spike was impressed by the Reploid's dogfighting thus sparing him until the upcoming war.
The Shuttle followed the Red Tail and Hammer Head to Earth and landed in Saffron City's airport according to Mary's discretion. It soon flew to its homebase in Abel City as the Reploids gave the special forces armor, weapons, and supplies.
It then followed the Red Tail, Hammer Head, and Vicky's truck to Mars thru the Dark Gate and then they landed next to Annie's devastated outlet. Ein had to be carried with Edward, Macintire, Appledelhi, Mary and her cousins and X since Zero had to carry more bodies to Mars. Since the troops had to approach the Red Dragons discreetly, the ships stayed.
By the time the war was over, Zero decided to stay on Mars with his ship while X rode Vicky's truck back to Earth.
Zero used it again as he met up Spike, Julia, and Trudy at a refueling station; he was chasing after Jet worried for his welfare, then he found ut he was brainwashed with Faye by the Drifters. He hightailed it out with the Swordfish and Hearthstone to the abandoned barn Spike found with a dusty brochure inside, leading them to the zealots' base in Empyrea, or rather Charon. Zero took a longer time to arrive at the facility, as the Shuttle was made by primitive Earthlings. After the Drifters were apprehended, it followed the hunters back to Mars.
