Stan Lee, birth name Stanley Leiber, was an American comic book writer. He was the head of Marvel Comics, and created many of its most prominent characters, among them Spider Man, The X-Men, The Avengers and Black Panther and Doctor Strange, many of which he created alongside Jack Kirby. He died on November 12, 2018.
