Star Trek: Archer is a planned Star Trek fan fiction, taking place in the 24th century on board the USS Archer under the command of Captain John Branson, as him and his crew explore Federation and defend it against the hostile Dominion from the Gamma Quadrant.
This series was developed by the creators and producers of Star Trek: Enterprise that were getting hate mail from the Star Trek fans about the ending in the series finale of Star Trek: Enterprise (These Are the Voyages...), and they started to work on this for the fans and they've casted some really great people for the roles.

The year is 2371 and the Federation is enjoying peace time with it's allies, and still recovering from the brutal defeat that it suffered at Wolf 359 during the Borg incursion of 2366-2367. The first designed new ship is the Intrepid-class Starship USS Archer under the command of Captain Branson and his crew are to explore the Alpha Quadrant and make new allies for the Federation.

Year: 2375
The Dominion War is raging on while the allied fleet is bottled up in the Chin'toka system taking heavy losses from the repeated attacks by the Dominion/Cardasian fleets, the War seems to be at a stalemate since the closing of the Bajoran wormhole and the departure of the invasion leader Captain Benjamin Sisko. Then when all hope seems to be gaining for the allied forces the most dangerous and mysterious race the Breen join the war on the Dominion/Cardassian Alliance side and wrecks the Allied forces badly and starts gaining systems with the help of their energy dampeners.
