Swinub (Japanese: ウリムー Urimuu) is an Ice/Ground-type Pokémon introduced in Generation II.
Swinub is a subterranean Pokémon from the Johto region. It is a the first of its kind with a dual Ice/Ground-Type.
Swinub can evolve into Piloswine. It was its only known evolution form until Generation IV when it was discovered that it could evolve even further into Mamoswine.
Swinub roots for food by rubbing its snout against the ground. Its favorite food is a mushroom that grows under the cover of dead grass. This Pokémon occasionally roots out hot springs. If it smells something enticing, it dashes off headlong to find the source of the aroma.
