Talon is a recurring character in The Legend of Zelda series.
Ikran's Lost OoT/Pokémon crossover[]
Talon was first seen sleeping the day and night away after he was delivering Lon Lon Milk to Hyrule Castle, and Link and Zelda II found him snoring next to the crates beside a small crawlspace. They had to wait for the Cuckoo egg to hatch and use it to wake him up. It startled him awake and he hurriedly stormed to the place where Malon was left.
He was seen later inside the distant house, challenging Link to a Cuckoo Finding challenge, when he won a Bottle of Lon Lon Milk. Seven years later, he was seen snoring away at a house in Kakariko Village, and the owner said some people come here because they wanted to escape their troubled pasts; in his case, Link met up with Ingo who was the new owner of the ranch and tossed him out because of his laziness/incompetence. Eventually he was convinced to return to the ranch, perhaps after Link stopped by and Malon thanked him for restoring it.
The Lost Legend of Namira[]
Talon didn't have much of a role, although while Link and Zelda II were looking for clues concerning the Gerudo and the corrupt goddess, Talon blurted out that he used to meet a Gerudo himself, who was actually Malon's mom, hence the red hair. It's possible he tossed her out as he found out who the Gerudo were and their sour reputation; perhaps the ranch was invaded at one point.
