The Great Adventureis an episode of SpongeBob SquarePants: A New Series. It is also the first episode of the series. In this episode, SpongeBob goes on an adventure to find a new batch of Krabby Patties in the Krabby Kave, where Mr. Krabs gets the batches.

Plot
This is the first episode of the series spin-off of the original SpongeBob SquarePants series.
SpongeBob, Mr. Krabs, and Squidward arrive at the Krusty Krab. When Mr. Krabs checked where he keeps the batch of Krabby Patties, he tells SpongeBob that he has to go to the Krusty Kave so that he can return with a fresh batch of Krabby Patties. SpongeBob asks Mr. Krabs why he has to do it, and it's because a monster moved into the cave and since SpongeBob is the youngest of the Krusty Crew, he had to do it.
Later, SpongeBob arrives at the cave, and couldn't see any thing due to it being too pitch-dark. He uses a flashlight and sees something sleeping. So quietly, he snatches a few fresh patties, but when he sneezes, the thing wakes up, revealing to be a monster. The monster chases SpongeBob down the cave, but then, SpongeBob uses the flashlight to blind the monster. SpongeBob runs as fast as he can and gets back to the Krusty Krab.
SpongeBob comes in with a fresh batch of Krabby Patties and he gets back to his job, but SpongeBob wonders what happened to the monster.
Trivia/Goofs
- The monster is similiar to the Golden Eel from "The Curse of the Hex".
- When SpongeBob shined the flashlight to the monster, the monster's eyes turned blue.
