"The Joker" is the codename given to a vicious Gotham City serial killer who murdered at least eighteen confirmed people. As gang-leader of the murderous "ClownzGang" his reign of terror lasted a year and a half until being stopped by Batman. Known for his modus operandi of stabbing or mutilating a victim with a blade and either during or afterwards slashing a 'Glasgow Smile' or 'Chesire Grin' into his victims' faces. This murder-method and appearance, wearing white make-up, green-dyed hair and red lips led the police department and media to refer to him as "The Joker".
The Joker's past is shrouded in mystery. Nothing is known about either his personal history or identity. In police and psychological interrigations, he has given several conflicting accounts about his background, none of which made any sense. He told one psychiatrist he was a Vietnam veteran, while being too young, or an sexually abused orphan. Forced DNA testing gave no results on a family liniage. The Joker himself has never revealed anything about himself.
The true name or identity of the Joker remains unknown. Currently, he is incarcerated in Arkham Asylum.
Murders []
The vicious "Clownz Gang" was first sighted in Gotham alleys. A 19-year-old prostitute called Jace was found dead with her throat slit. The words "Smile, Smile, Ha, Ha Smile" were written in her own blood. The second victim was 62-year-old Clarance Jones. The Clownz were known for having clown-make up on their faces. The Clownz spread murderous terror through Gotham City. Batman managed to track a Clownz' leader known as "Bobo" are being led by "I know him only as...Mr. J..." The first official victim of the Joker was policeman Rob Browning was found having suffered 37 stab-wounds and a smile slashed into his mouth, the words "Ha, ha, ha" carved into his stomach.
In the following months, at least seventeen more victims were discovered, all murdered by stabbing or having their throats slit and a smile carved into their face.
