Before I start I would just like say when this lil story is supposed to take place. Im sure you all know about how Sophie starts out liking Fitz, but then ends up with Keefe. And if your like me you might have wondered how. Obviously Sophie and Fitz have that lil thing bout the matchmaking, but what if something happened before that? What if that just pushed them over the edge? Thats where this story comes in. It’s supposed to try and explain why. Also this story will change who we are currently watching but it will always be 3rd person. (BTW, I am NOT a sofitz supporter! Just thought this would be fun<3)

Fitz-

“I cant believe this…” muttered Fitz in disbelief. He knew Sophie had a memory diary but wasn’t aware that she had a normal diary. He didnt think she needed one, after all, couldn’t they just share everything with each other? Apparently not. Because here, in her room tucked away in her bookshelf, he had found one. Fitz was extremely alarmed by the fact that she had hidden it too. Almost as if she didn’t want him to find it. He almost didn’t want to read it. No, he thought, couples share everything, and we are a couple. So he held his breath, and opened the diary, preparing for the worst. Though he still wastn’t prepared for what he saw.

Sophie-

As she helped Grady out in the pastures her thoughts wandered to what Fitz was doing. She hoped it wasn’t a mistake for she had a sinking feeling in her stomach, but didn’t want to bail on Grady as she had promised to help feed Verdi. Think of the feathery dinosaur also reminded her of how Fitz had been so kind to her when showing her the truth of the world. No, she thought, we are a couple, and couples trust each other. But then remembered something, her uncertainties, from quite a while ago yes. But still a problem.

Fitz-

Stunned and unable to speak, he saw pages and pages of her feelings. Questioning their relationship. All of the pages were labled with dates very neatly, the most recent one being from a while ago. But still, he couldn’t help but feel betrayed. He thought back to their almost kiss, how he had felt so hopeful, and then so cheated. He knew now that it was becuas Slyvia was in labor and they now had two heathly alacorn twins. Was it an acident, or something more? Fitz wondered with unease. While stuck in his thoughts he heard footsteps. Sophie. She must never know he thought as he scramble to force the diary back into the shelve, hoping it was in the right place. He had just enough time to to sit down on the carpet and pretend to play with the petals.

“Fitz?” Sophie called, “are you in here?”

“Over here Sophie!” answered Fitz

At first sophie looked concerned, worried even. He wondered if he looked panicked, like he was feeling. But the the worried expression soon faded away and was replaced by love. All of his fears vanished, there was no way this girl wasn’t smitten with him. Right?

Sophie-

Sophie hope Fitz hadn’t noticed how nervous she was. Technically there wasn’t anything wrong with her feelings, but she knew that Fitz would freak out. Fitz didn’t seem upset though, so she took that as a good sign. “Do you want to do some trust exricises?” Fitz asked. Sophie grew nervous again, did he find it? “Or not if you dont want to,” said Fitz hurriedly. There was no way Sophie could do trust exercises right now. If he didn’t know already, he would for sure know then. “It just feels so Stiff,” She tried to explain, “I would rather do something different, sense its just the two of us.” “Like what?” Fitz questioned a little suspicious. “Liiike, how about you show me that butterblasts recipe?” she answered quikly. Fitz seemed excited about the idea so they headed down stairs. Sophie was very relived that it seemed like he hadn’t found her diary. She made a mental note to get rid of it later. Fitz explained the recipe and she soon forgot all about the dairy and only remember it until later, after the butterblasts were done and eaten. When she relized she was already in bed.

Fitz- Fitz was shaking when he woke up, he still could get the words of the diary out of his mind. He knew that he couldn’t ask Sophie about it. Not yet at least.

Sophie- Sophie was awoken with a jolt. When she opened her eyes she saw an ogre facing glaring at her. “Ro!” she exclaimed startled, “what are you doing here?” “I heard pretty boy was over here yesterday,” Ro snarled, “still in denial huh?” “I don’t know what your talking about,” Sophie mumbled. “And you really made butterblasts?” Ro continued one, looking at the unfinished treat. She seemed disgusted by how sweet it looked. Ro rolled her eyes and muttered something about oblivous elves and pulled out a package. “Hukyhair was going to give this to you but chickened out,” explained Roe, “he said something about not wanting to get in the middle of things.” Sophie opened the package and inside was a painting. It was a lot like the ones he had made for her for midterms, exsept theses were, different. They felt more special somehow, and whatever it was, it made Sophies cheeks burn. “Is the great Sophie Foster finally figuring it out?” asked Roe excitedly. “I don’t know what your talking about,” Sophie mumbled again. “Ah, well close maybe,” Roe tried to say, “Just got to get pretty boy out of the way.” But Sophie was already pushing her out of the door. She had some serious thinking to do, and destroying.
