Toulouse Aristocat is one of the two tritagonists (alongside Berlioz) of Disney's 20th full-length animated feature film The Aristocats.
He is the oldest child kitten of Duchess and an unknown male cat and the older brother of Marie and Berlioz. He has hazel eyes, and long orange fur with a lighter orange stomach. He wears blue ribbon around his neck that is tied similarly to a bow tie. Being a kitten, he's fairly small, but also seems to be a bit fatter than his siblings. He was the first to suspect that Edgar the Butler had betrayed them, even though at the time his siblings and mother dismissed his claim. But Edgar's second attempt to send the cats away to Africa ultimately vindicates Toulouse's suspicion.
He was voiced by the late Gary Dubin.
Trivia[]
- Toulouse was named after a city in the Haute-Garonne department in southwestern France called Toulouse. Also, given his artistic element, it is very likely that his name is an homage to Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec.
- Toulouse resembles a younger version of his eventual stepfather, Thomas O'Malley and is possible to be the biological father like Berlioz is likely to be the son of the Scatcat.
- His italian name is "Matisse" like the painter Henri Matisse
- Toulouse was originally going to be named "Dopey" as seen in one of the earlier character designs for the kittens.
