Tyrogue, along with the other Fighting-Types, were caught in a scrimmage against Lens. Each one fell trying, until Old Man Pearson settled the dispute as the missing Codemaster.

Tyrogue was first found within the Castle Market with the other Fighting and Poison-Types. And he was an excellent brawler underneath the Well. However.... since there were known to be 3 evolved Hitmon Fighters, Mewtwo went to the Pokémon World to gather 2 more when Ganon started his regime. In several years, each one evolved into different fighters.
