Vinny as he appears in Flame Icejin: The New Frontier and Flame Icejin 7R, based on his appearance in Family Guy
Vinny Griffin (ヴィニー・グリフィン, Vinī Gurifin) is a hybrid dog with one-sixteenth DNA of a cat under the ownership of Stu Griffin. He is the son of Brian Griffin. In his debut appearance in Flame Icejin: The New Frontier, both dogs started out as robots and he was given the designation "VIN-E", while his father's was "BRI-N".

Vinny came into existance when Brian decided to have a son since nobody wants to date a robot, which he has been for seven and a half years. Stu went ahead with Brian's decision and created Vinny for him while copying Brian's file and altering it to make it look like Vinny has Brian's DNA with one-sixteenth of a cat's genes.
After the procedure was completed, Vinny awoke, and the first thing he saw was Brian, asking him if he was his father. Brian answered yes, and a father-son relationship was born.

- Vinny is based on how he appears in Family Guy, only there are a few differences:
- His Family Guy counterpart sounds like Paulie Gualtieri from The Sopranos (as he is voiced by Tony Sirico), while in Flame Icejin: The New Frontier, he sounds more like a teenager from Brooklyn.
- Coincidentally, his mother is owned by Paulie and still lives with him.
- His relationship with Brian in Family Guy is unknown as of yet, and the two never met in "Life of Brian", while in Flame Icejin: The New Frontier, he is Brian's son (and Dylan Flannigan's younger half brother).
- In the Family Guy episode "Christmas Guy", Vinny mentions that he had a scumbag father who died while he drowned in a birdbath by an officer of the law.
- When he first met Stewie in Family Guy, the two of them were having a hard friendship before Vinny explained that he used to be owned by an old man named Leo until he died, while in Flame Icejin: The New Frontier, since Stewie built him when he was eight, their friendship had a fresh start.
