The Warrior of Light a recurring character in the Final Fantasy series, first appearing in Dissidia Final Fantasy and Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy.

Though the Warrior of Light acts as a representative of the first Final Fantasy in the Dissidia series, he is an original character created for Dissidia with an origin that ties him closely to the game's lore. After the events of Dissidia, the Warrior travels to the world of Final Fantasy and becomes one of the Warriors of Light of that game. Since his debut, he has served as the primary representative for Final Fantasy in many other crossover titles.

Body of Dark, Heart of Light[]

Warrior was seen beside Cosmos at her throne as Yuna and Kain escorted Cecil to her. It had its doubts on whether or not he'd serve evil upon his dark and light auras, but Cosmos sensed his pure heart and potential. It watched her enlist Cecil as one of her warriors. It soon summoned Cecil from the field outskirts in order to test his skills in a sparring match. It was proven to be a formidable opponent and was close to victory until Cecil switched to his Dark Knight form and unleashed his pent-up umbrakinesis! It weakened the Warrior and Cecil was about to slew him until Cosmos declared for Cecil to stop and Firion broke off the quarrel. It hardly noticed Cecil sneaking away from the Sanctuary in search of Chaos.

Dissidia Shadowgate[]

Warrior of Light was only shown during the prologue. Chaos had fallen during the 13th cycle of his eternal conflict. All the victors were teleported to the Cornellia Isles, and it declared the conflict has come to an end at last. But some of the warriors noticed that their friends didn't show up, and Warrior confessed several of them like Lightning, Laguna, Kain, Vaan, Yuna and Tifa fell during the 12th cycle as the sealed the Rift the Manikins were coming from. Fortunately, the surviving warriors, excepting the original, were teleported by Cosmos to Stormhaven.

Revelations of a Warrior[]

The Warrior found out from its creator, or rather father, Cid of the Lufaine. He created him as well as three other Warriors in which they fell against the fiends of Chaos, then assimilated by them. The original survived each ordeal, and during the rematches, the Fiends become tougher with the souls of the fallen fighters, freeing them upon their defeat. Warrior was stunned after Cid unveiled, he created it, and Serah was the only one who accepted it on how it is. Warrior, albeit stunned by the revelation and all its rage, defeated Chaos though he said it'll be all for naught as the world's still destroyed and did him a favor as a tool of destruction he wanted. He assured people shall never accept it as a hero. It almost committed suicide, till Serah stopped it. It was put on suicide watch by the soldiers at the Castle, though it managed to sneak away, climb down the tower, and made a noose in a bare tree, although it was convinced otherwise when it noticed a hapless bird chick. It put it back in the nest, having a grateful robin giving i a wild rose, like Firion's symbol for world peace. It made it back and greeted Serah that it accepted itself and the world's in the process of the world recovering. It embraced Serah, as it smiled.

Trivia[]

  • Warrior of Light was one of the characters Ikran despises! As it has little to no personality, its actions barely connect and are very slow and had a questionable role in the 12th cycle as it and Kain wanted to put the heroes to sleep despite the Manikins constantly multiplying, even though the cycle and threat would repeat itself anyway. It was later convinced as Laguna came up with the idea to seal the Rift. Thus, never including the phony Manikin.
  • Warrior's role in her oneshot, as listed above, was a blend of his FF1 and Dissidia counterparts, but also takes a tad of inspiration from Crystalis and its protagonist, Simea.
